For We Are Many was a good album imo. After that, they kind of fell off, but the last album with Oli was pretty heavy as well if that's what you're into.

Thanks for the analysis Jake, I'm going through my own journey unmasking my autism after 30 years. In the process of evaluation and diagnosis. When you talked about taking the mask off, that hit me. My life has literally been one traumatic situation after the other, and by God's grace y'all keep making music. Hang in there everyone and remember Genesis 50 "As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today." Love what you're putting out Jake! Fun analysis of the song and the lyrics. Really appreciated how open you are here about your frustration with your public persona/identity and how that clashes with how you feel. You share some mature wisdom there. Keep it up. Specifically on the topic of cursing, I think sometimes Christians tend to overemphasize aspects of Philippians 4:8 and ignore a particular word in the passage. 'Finally brothers and sisters, *whatever is true*, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable - if there is any moral excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy - dwell on these things. ' Yes, we should focus on the honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable things, but Paul also writes that we should dwell on truth. And sometimes the truth is brutal and difficult. Should the Christian curse all the time in an over the top manner to the point where their identity becomes "the Christian who also swears"? Probably not. Do we need to overanalyze and berate every Christian who does curse from time to time? Probably not. If Jake feels a certain word is appropriate for a moment, who are we to judge him? Strive for more, build each other up, brothers and sisters.

Phil is an absolute menace with the mic. Not only that but he is a great human being. The fact that they’ve dealt with the loss of Oli and had a their drummer leave the band, and with new additions to the band they still sound like themselves if not better. Brings me back to my high school days of rock/metal. If only Avenged sevenfold followed the same path as ATR. I can’t wait for the full album release!

I feel as humans, we want others to be what we want them to be bc allowing people to be who they truly are means everyone's differences will truly show and we feel its playing life "safe" if we are all the same. like you said but in other words, "it's a box of security" kinda like growing up in a small town in the south for me, it's all I knew and it was my safe place and it's hard to leave it and see and learn that there was so much more the world had to offer for me to learn and explore. I moved to Fort Wayne Indiana and left my safety net and it was a culture shock and I was afraid to erase the box at first but once I did and understood that differences between all walks of life was not playing life safe but holding me back from making me friends with folks I wouldn't have seen as a person I'd be friends with bc I myself only wanted to surround myself with people who shared pretty much every thing I enjoyed and wanted people to be who I wanted them to be to keep ahold of my box, we are all different and I learned to accept people for who they are and not judge them for anything period. safe is just a word for us to use to feel a since of security bc no one can truly be safe life will happen, no matter what we never come out of it unscared. if we stay in our box we stay ignorant to what the world's had to teach us even if we are the smartest people in the world. so man continue to do you and be proud of who you are. as long as your path through life sheds light onto the world spreading joy and positively even if it's not my way or others way of doing it then you're doing a wonderful job in a world of hate and darkness. where you're from, gender, race, religion or any of that, to me it's the same thing as looking at something only skin deep. look past that and what the person's soul and heart has to offer. never judge someone period. so in my stoner preaching session lol 😂, I end this with great reaction man and keep it up. you have another subscriber from me. and also I have no idea if that all makes sense, but I'm from small town sw arkansas and I do talk slow so I tried lol 😂. anyways, yall all have a gooden

I would totally recommend to go see a therapist. A therapist can helped you understand your mental health. The therapist can't figure why then you might see a psychiatrist. Before you see a therapist, they make you do some evaluation and then match to you a therapist & psychiatrist.

It takes a lot to open up on something as simple as a youtube post and share a vulnerability. If you're not sure if it's depression, I would say that would be an excellent question to ask a therapist. Opening up to them they can figure out what is going on and from there, kinda create an action plan on how to go about it, whether it be just therapy or as @toastaintbad said, a psychiatrist if needed. I'm going to try my best to put my thoughts into text. Jake, you are a human and you live your life the best way you can no matter what form that takes. Not saying Jesus would do this but if he came down and said "what's up fuckers" a lot of people would immediately point their fingers and blame him for whatever with whatever justification they wanted. Everyone should live in a way that serves others in the best ways that they can while never abandoning their true self. Everyone comes from different backgrounds and upbringings. Some are worse than others but that shouldn't take away from their value and what comes with it. My whole point is that don't shackle yourself to something that can hold you back from expressing your true self. Don't hide your true self behind your politics, religion or some social construct that could make you feel less or othered. You are unique and should be free to be yourself in any way that makes you feel comfortable. The Internet tries to bully us but they are not above us on how to express ourselves.

In my understanding. Most folk that will "Judge and attack" you for your curse words/language. Almost always, are taught that Judging and shaming others is the bad thing. But they hyperfocus on what they can easily control, which in this case is you. And not themselves or their own accountability. Jesus was a brown homie who hungout with whores, lepars, and addicts. The only thing you should be doing, is being yourself. And only feel pitty for those who shame you, because that's all those hypocrites deserve.
