I kept telling people stylistically this was a VERY easy fight for Jake. Perry has ZERO defense, And almost no technique in his punches whatsoever. I think Jake is ALOT better than most these hard headed MMA fans and casuals give him credit for, But i also think him and his team have just done a great job and picking opponents who have major flaws going against them. Askren=Pure Grappler with 0 striking. T-Wood=Legit Wrestler with timid striking but decent power, Silva=Legit kickboxer but now far past his prime & Chinny, Diaz=Legit BJJ & Volume punching but very hittable & Zero power, Perry=Brawler with Zero defense. Fact is to those who still think Jake is just a KZbin/Disney kid, These wins might be impressive, But to someone who's been watching MMA & Boxing for most their life, They see that Jake has enough training and natural talent to out box these smaller MMA guys who are much older or aren't great boxers to begin with. In MMA or even kickboxing, These guys would eat Jake alive, But boxing is a totally different thing, Its harder than it looks especially when you go from training all these different martial arts your whole life to now just focusing on Boxing for a fight. Even someone like Alex Periera who's arguably the best striker in the UFC rn would be challenged in boxing against Jake, Using your hands in MMA and even Kickboxing is VASTLY different than in boxing, There's no more feinting takedowns, No feinting with kicks, It's totally a different fight only being allowed to focus on the hands. I know this probably breaks most fans brains but Jake DOES have a chance against Alex lol now obviously I'd be rooting for Alex and i would lean towards him to win just because he'd be the first guy Jake fought that's bigger than him, And his punching power and technique IS on a different planet compared to everyone else Jake has fought, But people gotta stop letting their passion for the sport overcome logic. There's an enormous difference between MMA fighters and Boxers, And Jake at this point is more of a boxer than pretty much everyone in the UFC at this point. He's not a high level boxer or anything, But he's been training for what, 6-7 years straight? And tho he's only faced 2-3 ACTUAL boxers, He's still had 11 professional boxing matches, Thats valuable experience no matter how you look at it.

I agree with almost everything u said and I've been saying for a while "Jake has been training for 6-7 years with as much $$$ as he can spend on the best coaches,equipment, water boys and cheerleaders so probably equates to nearly a decade of professional boxing." He's not trash....if he hadn't called out canelo and Connor and GGG he might have been taken more seriously but he's better than most 11-0 boxers. He'll he's better than most 20-0 boxers. Cardio is clearly an issue an we haven't really seen his defence as most of his opponents don't weigh enough to hit hard enough to hurt him so he hasn't had to defend anything other than pitter patter punches. He will knock tyson out which will hurt his image/public approval, but I think he wants that. Where to from here for platinum? I'd knew he'd loose but damn......needs a break then a big win inBKFC. In order for Jake Paul to be taken seriously as a boxer: 1. Fight an active ranked light heavyweight (or heavier) boxer. 2. Fight someone like Francis Ngannou who is significantly heavier than him but is not a pure boxer. He fights nonboxers who are traditionally 20-30lbs lighter than him. Only boxer (if you want to call Tommy Fury a boxer) he fought he lost. Which brings me to 3. Fight Tommy Fury again and beat him convincingly.
