I'll tell you exactly why he deleted it. A sweepstakes that can only be entered by buying goods directly is *extremely illegal.* It's against gambling laws for sweepstakes to require monetary exchange for participation. He said the chains were free so that he could get around this law, hence the shipping being the real cost but I'm guessing someone still threatened or warned him. *ANY* sweepstakes must have a free option. You can even play McDonald's Monopoly for free, but they make it very time consuming so you'll be turned off.
