Lady Skeptic what are you talking about? You can buy corporate or government bonds, precious metals, there are also numerous apps that allow you to purchase stock. Investment isn’t about trying to hit the lottery, it’s about long term saving. Also the $500 thing is closer to 50% and not exactly an accurate representation. That 50% includes people that would have to cut expenses or borrow from family/friends, take out a pay day loan, take an overdraft etc. This is also because banks are are a lot more strict with giving out credit than they were 15 years ago, back in 2008 a bank would give a jobless college freshmen a credit card with a $2000 limit and give a second mortgage to someone upside down $50k on a home.

I also use trigonometry in my profession, but most people do not. Jake Paul's position is asinine, but so is the idea that most people will actually use the Pythagorean theorem in their daily lives, lol. Electives that have nothing to do with your major or preferences are pretty dubious, especially at the college level where you're being charged outrageously for it. I mean I had to take multiple years of calculus despite virtually never needing it, and the few times I did I could have just looked up the parts I need over a day or two. Obviously the solution isn't to just not go to school, but there is clearly a problem.

Let alone the fact that this program isn’t even legit it’s like team 1000 all over again. (If you don’t know what I’m talking about drew gooden made a great video about it a while ago) Edit: Also just because someone isn’t a millionaire doesn’t make them a bum. My father is one of THE most hardworking people I know & he’s not anywhere near being wealthy & there are many people like that. Kids are easy to manipulate. The Paul brothers make out like you can be a successful KZbinr just like them, and all you have to do is film yourself throwing food around your house and setting shit on fire. When I was that age I was into Jackass just because they were doing everything stupid you're not supposed to do, It's exciting. Kids can't tell the difference between a person who genuinely wants to offer them an opportunity and someone who offers them a chance to be exploited. Now they have this huge platform they just milk it for cash because kids don't understand that someone they look up to could be fleecing them just for the cash. Sadly kids being so innocent and naive is what the Paul brothers are using against them.

College has been great for me. I am a first generation American and college student. I went to a community college and received an associate degree in nursing. I worked as a registered nurse while I was in school getting my bachelors. My associate degree gave me a job that enabled me to live on my own, pay my bills, save up, and pay for my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. I never took out any student loans. I’m 21 and debt free and finished my bachelors. Nursing rocks!

My IQ isn’t soggy cereal and I’ve never watched a Jake Paul video, but the education system is absolutely fucked. Last semester my Spanish teacher personally called me to make sure I’d take the elementary course, but since my major is applied science a new federal law prevents me from taking unrelated courses just because I get student loans. Loans I have to pay back yet they tell me what classes I can take. The secondary education system is one of the most profitable industries in the US. The executives get paid millions of dollars even at some smaller schools. With all the free info online I don’t think college is what it used to be.

I love how Jake Paul is campaigning against school but he, himself, is a walking successful ad FOR school... and birth control. He should pull a Billy Madison and go back to kindergarten. I mean... he wouldn't get much further than that so it wouldn't actually be like Billy but I'd settle for anything.

What I find funny is, no person that does finances for a living uses words like "financial freedom" because there is no such thing, and for Jake, a uneducated person on the field of finances it really just sounds like one of those scam emails

I think he means where you have your budget under control where you don’t have to worry about money you are free to retire and take up hobbies without being worried about losing everything. It’s possible but I totally understand what you mean with his lifestyle he’s not very smart with money he can make it but he just spends it on useless things like alcohol

@@chumforty533 That's not how being rich works. Listen to some of Buffet's podcasts or read one of his books. He explain that your money can be gone in 1 day. Money has no value, it's what you can gain with money that matters. If there was a plague and no food left in your area, you'd give all you have for a loaf of bread. So 'financial freedom' is a term scammers use to make you feel like you can achieve something that doesn't exist.

The greedy Jew stereotype comes Europe where for centuries the only 'respectable' field Jewish people were only allowed to work in was the banking industry, and thus they were cast as money hoarders and loan sharks. Totally unfair then and untrue now.

@@xh0rn3rx No, allowed. The Catholic Church forbid Christians from engaging in banking for scriptural reasons for a large part of it's history. Since the only non-Christian members of European society were Jews, and their employment opportunities were severely limited as well, many Jews natural became bankers, money lenders, etc., leading to some of the stereotypes we have about them now.
