This has opened my eyes to the value of an python as an open sharable platform for practical and research computation.

As a software developer who messes around with Python, this was a great introduction to another world, thanks Jake.

Great keynote. As an Engineer in Digital Design, our industry doesn't make as much use of Python as yet. This is probably because we were one of the first to embrace the need for dynamic languages, creating Tcl to be embedded in many of our tools, and being heavy users of Perl. I can see that our young engineers are trained in Python leading to ever more Python projects over time.

PLEASE ALLOW THIS VIDEO TO BE VIEWED ON OTHER WEBSITES. I think you will still get revenue. It saves others from having to copy it, and repost, just so it can be used in forums.
