Any player or coach going to the Jets is a career killer. There is no worse place for either in all of professional sports! Too bad there isn't a relegation type system in the NFL like professional soccer. The Jets need to go to the CFL and stay there.

Jake, I’ve heard you saying Woody hasn’t meddled until this season…really? Wasn’t he the main driving force for the Tebow trade? And sorry but I don’t care if Rex and Mike T say he wasn’t a meddler - both of those guys clearly are still cozy with Woody and would never publicly criticize him (Mike currently getting paid to consult and Rex has always wanted the Jets job since he lost it). And the whole Joe Douglas backup QB narrative…there were whispers from beat reporters last year that Woody didn’t want to put any more money into the QB room after getting Rodgers even with the pay cut. And Peter Schrager recently on Bill Simmons’ podcast even said as much in a passing comment saying last year Woody didn’t want a QB room of Rodgers, Flacco, and Wilson. Joe Douglas didn’t do enough to keep his job and I’m not gonna defend him, but you can’t sit here and think that the only meddling Woody has ever done is just the stuff that’s been reported. Otherwise, why did it take so long for us to hear about how he said Mike White “Effin’ sucked” in the locker room - a story the Jets even admitted to and said they apologized to Mike White for (though allegedly not directly from Woody). Who has been the common denominator here the last 15 years? The rot starts from the top.

Joe D couldn't get the QB position correct! He failed with Wilson and that brought us here with Aaron. We have to clean house, get an offensive mind in here who can utilize the talent that we have. A HC that can mold a QB! I wouldn't bring Aaron back, he was always my favorite QB but seeing his lack of leadership was sad. This can be a fast rebuild if we can just get the right QB in here, easier said than done!
