The Jets have been a thorn in the Bills side for years, especially with that stout defense, but Rodgers went and got the defensive head coach fired for giving him a weird hug, got the general manager fired, somehow made the offense worse than under Zach freaking Wilson, and cost the Jets their future by having the Jets trade for his friend. He was playing mind games with his own front office in the offseason the year prior (as always) and was a no show for a lot of the minicamps and was making them wait and wonder. He had young new receivers (which meant that developing chemistry early was important). That didn’t happen because he didn’t want to show up early on. AR worked his tail off to get back on the field ASAP so that he could help his team and what did they do in return. They fired the wrong coach they play without any passion. They don’t have a run game and they don’t play D. AR still has a little bit of juice he needs to get the heck out of New York ASAP. Check his stats they are not stellar, but they are good. It’s not his fault.

Jets fired Saleh because he wanted to can Nate Hackett. Aaron Rodgers got wind of it, complained to the Jets owner, and the Owner fired Saleh to appease Rodgers. That's exactly what happened, and it completely derailed the Jets season.

This is one of the reasons that sports are so interesting. The athleticism is beautiful. the strategies interesting, the performances can make you feel emotional but, in the end, it's about people. Humanity, in all its glorious weirdness, is fascinating to take in. Excellence is easy to appreciate. But abject failure is compelling, like watching a train wreck. Only mediocrity is boring.

This is the worst of the Jets … I was at game when he got hurt - was devasting especially because jets didn’t sign back up -so season was over .., but this year - my expectations were back in check because the chances the defense would still be one of better defenses - was slim - it is hard for defenses to repeat - let alone stay atop rankings - and by middle of season last year cracks were showing

Not sure if I'm hearing sympathy for Aaron from Rich or not. But it sure sounds like it. Aaron RUINED this team. From his refusal to lead, work with any player he deemed "beneath him", and once he got his buddy on the team, his one dimensional "throw it to Adams" offensive mindset sucked the life out of them. Piece of crap!

regardless if he is or isn't. he was a problem for the Jets but he's not even the biggest problem. The Jets have been terrible for decades with a couple seasons in between where they showed signs of light. Seems like every high draft pick QB they get goes off and then ends up totally turning their career around. Why is that? Its because from the top to bottom they run a terrible organization. Regardless if you have some good coaches and players, if they higher ups are controlling a team like this, its doomed to fail. Just blaming Rodgers for why the Jets failed when he's only really played one seasons is the most Jets things I've ever heard. He deserves a lot blame this season but the team has been as I stated before "Decades" with an -s.
