Just register your car with montana plates.. Then you wont have to worry about state REF... There a website for all that. I have all my cars as montana vehicles.. also you can tint your windows etc without issues ;)

Take it to a smog station and it will fail the visual inspection, before they even put the sniffer tube in. All the more reasons I left CA 20 years ago...

I does get quite annoying to get pulled over so frequently due to the car. The last time I got lit up, I think was because I popped a cop into Waze when I passed him at 2am. No one else was around me. I'm guessing he saw that pop up on his Waze (assuming he was monitoring it) and followed me a good 5 miles until he lit me up - once I was in my neighborhood. He warned me about a taillight that was out and failure to maintain lane - neither was true. I do respect the cops, but don't like trying to get home from work tired at 2am, want to go to be .... and have to deal with nick nack stuff.
