thanks for reminding me of one of the reasons I liked living in a wormhole full time... the volume of PI there is just bonkers and I need to get back... I think my alt scanner is still in the last hole I lived in before taking my break from eve

Your scanner alt will be sent to HS if not logged on within 6 months.. CCP made this change last year

I am doing PI in highsec and make about 20mil/day with 13% tax rates with fairly high skills on one character. I have 6 planets. Planet 1 (Barren) extracts both micro organisms and Aqueous Liquids and uses BIFs to produce bacteria and water that I transport to planet 6. Planet 2 (Barren) extracts both base metals and micro organisms and uses BIFs to produce reactive metals that I transport to planet 3 and bacteria that goes to planet 6. Planet 3 (Lava) extracts heavy metals and uses BIFs to produce Toxic Metals. It then uses the Reactive metals from Planet 2 and AIFs to create Construction Blocks. Planet 4 (Storm) extracts suspended plasma and uses BIFs to produce Plasmoids that I transport to Planet 5. Planet 5 (Ice) extracts Aqueous Liquids and uses BIFS to produce water. It then uses the plasmoids from Planet 4 and AIFs to create Superconductors. Planet 6 (Ice) extracts Aqueous Liquids and uses BIFS to produce water. It then uses the micro organisms from Planet 1 & 2 and AIF's to create Test Cultures. It can take daily tweeking and I move extractors about once or twice a week per planet. Sometimes I will need to add a BIF (Basic Industrial Facility) or remove one depending on available resource density. Sometimes Planet 1 just produces bacteria if Planet 6 can produce enough water to be self sufficient. Sometimes Planet 4 also produces water or reactive metals depending on what is needed or if I feel like spending the time. All planets are in the same system. It's not a lot of ISK in the grand scheme of things, but I don't get a lot of time to play and I am a fairly new player. I know this is probably far from the best setup, but for a new player, 20 Mil a day passively seems not too bad? (I don't freak out if a lose a few 35M Cheetahs :) Looking forward to joining a worm hole corporation where resource density is WAY higher and I can make the more standard extraction/production dedicated planets.

How could I do it in WH space space ? Like ones that have a hi-sec static, but how do I know which to keep a scanning alt in there when I need to get into it ?

I set up P0 to P2 in high sec. It’s not big ISK but convenient. I have set up 7 days for extractor as I don’t have much time at the moment. I’m a nice passive income while offline. I even have set one up from P0-P3 but this one is very unbalanced and performs worst. May change it to a P0-P2 when I find time.

I think your numbers are low. The setup you used in nul wont work as well in hisec. Of course P1 wont be as big in nulsec but with the proper layout/process I've been able to make 5-6bil per month per pilot all in hisec. I've done highsec PI since it was introduced and can plex accounts even at todays plex prices with PI. I am setting up a few planets as I watched your PI videos and will know soon if my spreadsheet is right. If it is I will be able to plex a couple accounts with my main account, easy. I've done it before.

Its impossible to make 5-6b per month per character! Not even 3 characters can do that in profit in low sec with PI. You are not factoring in costs to run.

@SilverforceX at the time I posted that it was possible, I did it. It is actually how i made myself a billionaire. Now prices suck so it is impossible to do the 5-6b. Looking at my spreadsheet I could make 1.8b buying P1 and making enriched uranium on 6 planets or close to half of that with 5 other P2's. High tech transmitters I'd make 2.3b per month in a PI factory.

I do mine in low sec personally. The yield is way better than high sec and also close to markets.

I make close to 3 bill a month in gel matrix biopaste, in one system 6 jumps from jita with 6 toons that are not any where near a maximised set up.

I got to say, PI is kindda complicated at a certain point but once you understand it is quite easy though, PI is a good way to get passive incomes with almost no investment and a couple mins per day to arrange everything I use to run P3s (haven't those skills at max) but getting 20-30m per day doing nothing is kindda Cool, with max skills in a couple charts is quite profitable, not enough to mantain the plex on each but in times of war when ISK Making in null regions is limited, is better than nothing

You have way too many factories. in highsec 3 factory is enough. max 4.

I have a question about setups. Is it more efficient to have several extraction planets for one or two resources each, make the P1 there then transfer it to a factory planet to make the finished P3's? I've been doing PI as a side hobby for a while on my trade character and it is profitable, but it seems like I am doing it very inefficiently in trying to go from raw to P3 on a single planet. Thanks

Going raw to P3 on 1 planet is really bad. It’s better to just make 1 type of P1 on each planet and make another planet for P2 & P3 and just feed it P1.

depends on how you set up the PI, PI is always worth it. just to make sure you don't spend much time to reset and moving things around. i set up a P4 PI system, with 2 alts making about 100m per day with very minimal time for take care of the system (about 1h per 6-10 days depends on how i feel)

@@jeremyredfield5348 oh sorry i forgot to mention that i was doing PI in null, on Highsec i can only do P3 with about ~50m profit per day. my point is wherever you do PI in , just try to minimize the "maintainance" time and optimize it from there, since PI is pulling stuff out of the air, any profit is good

You dont get the point. There are 3 ways to do PI in HS now: 1. Make P2-P3 as you described (very lazy, about 1-1,5kk per month for account of 3 boys) 2. Make P1. (very not worth it, less than 500kk per month for account of 3 boys) 3. Use adam4eve and do P4 from P2 or P3 (somehow worth it, about 2,5kk per char (7,5 per account), but needs attention every 3-4 days to restock)

Rough. Observant pirates will figure out your pi'ing in a system and will hunt you. Can confirm too, as that's one of the things I did in lowsec. Watch for common names in systems and figure out what quiet little side job there were doing... And steal from them.
