Thankyou! You answered, @10:40, something that has been bothering me for ages - when the PI material runs out, just move your setup. I always assumed that the cost to 'chase' the materials would be far too expensive with the preference being to just leave it where it sits and wait for the materials to come back. I do have a question though, in your video you mentioned having a citadel(?) in the wormhole - is it possible to just set up a ninja-pi operation with the pi-alt logging out in space? My only concern is the materials would pile up pretty fast and being unable to be shipped off-planet due to not having anywhere to put them. Great series!

There's nothing keeping you from keeping a hauler in a system on a safe point cloaked and logged off, although ideally you'd want some scanner alts in there also to let you easily find it should the worse happen to your freighter. Your freighter should only be vulnerable for the 5 secs it'd take to pick up stuff from the warrant office before going somewhere safer assuming someone isn't directly hunting for you, in which case you'd just stay cloaked until later 0:20

I'm trying a workaround this by building my installation near concentrations of 2 resources I'm wanting on the planet like for example base and noble metals on a barren planet if I'm working on making robotics, I find a concentration of noble which is normally a bit tougher to find and a hot spot for base metals. Then I place my extractor between the 2 spots. This way I can switch from the different materials without having to uproot my installation when I mine out a deposit. By the time the 2nd deposit is mined out the 1st should have replenished.

Yes. I do what you describe in nullsec. I have 3 accts and all characters stay in a nullsec system, never dock and just do the PI. 3 accts = 9 char = 54 planets. I have one other alpha acct, 3 char who are for extra storage in space. The alpha accts cannot cloak. You can also use the POCOs for storage, and that includes the alpha characters. I use trig filaments to get out of nullsec and over 3 years, I have about 98% success rate getting stuff out of nullsec to the market safely. I pull about 2.5B isk a week, 2 trips out a week are need to take the stuff out. works very well for me.

Only query would be if you're using someone elses POCO's won't they see who's using it from the tax being charged every time you launch goods into orbit? Having run PI in w-space many years ago I found it to be very good, the only down side being if the system you were living in didn't have everything you needed you had to import from k-space or just not build higher level PI items. Perhaps less of an issue now with the reduction in PI volumes though.

How do you get stuff out of there? Is this an alt that stays in the hole indefinitely?

yeah would have too, trying to find a specific wormhole every few days would be time consuming to say the least.

It seems that you would need to be in a wormhole corp or be able to reliably get your material into K-space. I wonder if you have to use a mapping tool or perhaps hope for a lucky wormhole to get your material to market or to the factory.
