Love the Springs. Yeah, the closer you are to the mountains you'll find that it's not too uncommon for the deer to come down and wander around. The scenery and wildlife are the reason Colorado Springs is my favorite place to live. There's a lot of outdoor activities to do. I've spent a majority of my life living in Colorado Springs, besides my time in the military.

That bird is a "magpie" (the cow bird😂) we have alot of them here in Montana. They are very smart birds, and if you leave food anywhere they will steal it because they eat anything. They are very intelligent birds related to the raven family, and can recongnize themselves in mirrors. They use to follow travelers in the 1800's and steal their food out their tents, or waited for a kill to eat any remains of the dead animal.
@SolarSailor19672 жыл бұрын
They are my favorite bird. Their color scheme is beautiful. If you can catch them when they aren't emitting their loud squawk, they have alot of unique sounds. I caught one in some bushes by a creek one day. It was making all kinds of chirps, whistles, clicks, & buzzing sounds.

I have lived in Colorado Springs for 40 years. For a city that now has a population of 475,000, and a metro area population of 750,000, Colorado Springs is a very safe city. I feel far safer in Colorado Springs than I do anywhere in the Denver metroplex. There are a lot of wonderful “things to do” in Colorado Springs. The only people I ever hear complaining “there is nothing to do” are urban hive dwellers. Only trustafarians from the People’s Republic of Boulder call it “sleazy springs.”

I lived there for 7 years. The Walmart lots north were great but I think it’s banned now which is very sad. I love Colo springs but 9 months of winter is hard. March April and May are winter. Full blown winter which is over mid-June. There is no spring. Then hail season starts so you better have full coverage!!!!!!! The worst storms I have been in were march and quite often MAY 31!!!!!!!! I am from California and was a courier in Colorado Springs. I had AWD and learned to drive in blizzards. I still have 4wd now in California. I saw too many cars and vans like yours stranded in snow.
