If you like train rides & Hot Springs, take the Zephyr from Denver to Glenwood Springs. Beautiful ride and relaxing hot springs! While visiting my daughter in May about 6 years ago, we rode the Zephyr to Glenwood Springs and enjoyed the outdoor hot mineral springs pool while it was snowing. A very pretty and chill town!
@clintduplechain69422 жыл бұрын
Totally agree with this comment! Glenwood Springs is one of my most favorite places.
@kirkjordan87182 жыл бұрын
Yeah but the Zephyr up to Glenwood takes freaking forever. I don't know why you'd do it other than just to say you've done it. I'd rather drive it and get to Glenwood that way you can actually do something when you get there. There's plenty to do in Glenwood and you'd want a car while you were up there. If you're into a travel time that takes five times as long as the drive and want to be stranded when you get up there, then yeah take the train or whatever. Edit* that said Glenwood is one of my favorite places. Hot springs is sort of overrated compared to everything else.

I understand that the employee at Shuga's may have been a little unreasonable about the way they handled it but in general if you plan to film in an establishment you should clear it with the staff beforehand, especially if it's a small business and you've got a tripod camera, it's not weird to assume it could make some patrons uncomfortable. Awesome video, Territory Days was a fun little festival!

I grew up in the Security-Widefield area south of Colorado Springs. Over the years we had everything from rabbits, raccoons and skunks to black bears, bobcats and mountain lions. And just across Hwy 85/87 on the old Venetucci property they had coyotes and foxes moving into the area.

Rattle snakes to keep cool, stay in rocks crevices to cool off, so as you climb just be aware, you were lucky dude, and you do not know how lucky. they can lunge and strike, I have seen some in my life time, and it is amazing how some people act as if no problem, not good - always respect a snake.

I'm glad Shuga's manager helped smooth things over, that's a really cool low key spot that my wife and I always bring out of towners too - we've had run in's with some bad service at times too. Overall, awesome place though. Glad you had a great visit!
