Hoppos are cool. It just feels so weird that bumping them from the bottom doesn't get them unstuck. Those munching enemies in one of the Candy Land levels made for my favorite level in the game. Maw-Maws are also amazing. Their level is probably my other favorite stage in the game. I love how the Candy stages feel really fresh and experimental for a Mario game, Maw-Maws really raise the stakes along with the genius wonder transformation, and they themselves feel like a Pikmin monster. I completely forgot about the music note enemies wtf. I have absolutely no idea where they appear in the name. We need more Mario enemies with names like 'Erin'. I love how Nintendo let old enemy designs re-appewr in new more glorified and unique forms while utilizing them better. Those Pink and Green Snails, the Snow Kicking Guys, that Turtle Dude, the Skeedadlers are a great way to combine Nabbit and Birdo together; the birds thay dive into water and those owls in the snow levels are a great way to bring back SMW's swooper bats; the Fire Spikes should be obvious and they make for another amazing level; they're all cool little new characters. I don't see these guys becoming future Mario staples, but maybe that's for the best, its always cool when these games can all end up feeling like their own little world with their unique quirks. But I'll still be sad if we never see them again. Was I the only one expecting the grand return of the Butterfly Wigglers?

Jake, I have an important question. There was a game I played on my brother’s iPad when I was a child, I don’t remember what it was called, but you were an octopus or something, (the game starts underwater) and the goal of the game is to jump as high as possible between these rotating circle platforms, the only other things I can remember are that you can unlock more characters and that one of the height-level-things was called Aurora borealis. Personally, I find the Snootles to be one of the worst designed enemies in the game. They’re introduced as being able to bounce themselves and other enemies around, so it makes you assume that they’d just bounce you around when walked into as well, right? Wrong! Their design and introduction goes against how the enemy actually works, and for that, they’re one of the worst enemies in Mario history.
