This got me really emotional. I used to live abroad in Thailand when I was younger. Plenty of friends, plenty of girls, plenty of opportunities. I pissed it all away in my hubris, and moved back to America to restart my life. Battled 5 years of depression, met a girl that got me out of it, lost the girl, back into depression and debt. Now I'm an old, mid thirties, friendless, sour, lonely, depressed piss boy, stuck in America. I want back to fun times like these every time I watch Jake. I see a bit of what my life used to be when I watch him. Just trying to balance adult responsibilities, having to work a job to make ends meet, having two dogs that would be incredibly difficult to bring there with me, I don't know how I could feasibly make it work anymore.
