Very useful video. Some other tips: a) To make reusable pages, print the Rocketbook pages on tear proof, waterproof paper. I purchased them from Amazon. b) If you're using ordinary paper and the Frixion pens, you can easily erase the page by inserting the used page into the paper tray of a laser printer and printing a blank page. The heat from the fuser will make the ink vanish. Some say that if you put the page into the freezer, the cold will bring the ink back, but I haven't tested this out myself. c) To bind the printed Rocketbook pages, you can use a discbound system. They are convenient and allow you to move the pages around as needed. Examples are Arc by Staples and Levenger.

I recently received a Rocket Book as part of a set of swag from an event. I was initially skeptical about it, but as I used it, I am really glad that it exists. I've been using that Rocket Book each and every time and I am really pleased. THanks for the links to the alternative means to create the pages. Those make a lot of sense.

I printed the A4 as "4 in 1 Page" (doublesided) and got (after cutting) a A6 Notebook (just as the mini flip) and it works great! for the version with lines I "erased" every second line with a PDF software (just use a thick white line) so I have enough space for my writing

Bloody brilliant 😀 thank you for sharing this great idea. I have often placed single pages on my rocketbook notebook pages leaving the scanning edges open to get regular loose paper sheets scanned and uploaded to my rocketbook file. But this is a wonderful idea. I don't really like frixion pens and haven't ever gotten used to the rocketbook pages. So thank you so much and thank you for sharing your files 😊

Ooooh I'm going to try this out!! I've been wanting a smart notebook or eInk tablet so bad but everything is too expensive :(( I found these "FriXion" pens that claim to be erasable on regular paper, so that would make these regular paper sheets reusable too! I'll order and print everything and report back :3 you're a legend!

Thank you for all your videos! Well done! Question... Any suggestions on how to print your A5 size templates double sided (to then trim to A5 size)? I've tried a few different ways and can't get them to line up. Thank you!

Aha! I believe just printing one image per side in landscape mode with special cutting (so both pages fit back-to-back with binding) works. If you have another way, please share!

What I do is print set the printer to only print off numbered pages first, then I reorient and reload the paper to print the odd pages. It will take some experimentation to get the reorientation correct, but most printer have some guidance icons to help with this - either way, start with one page and try a few times 👍

Hi, thanks for your videos. Would it be possible to print the filler pages instead of these free pages? My idea is to have a notebook with various reusable pages plus at least 50 paper pages (25 sheet). I’m thinking to buy the multisubject rocketbook and then add the printed paper using a dedicated spiral.
@JakeReevesVideo11 ай бұрын
The Rocketbook erasable pages have a special page coating that prevents them from being printed on - I have yet to figure out how to do it with a house printer.
@keishito11 ай бұрын
You mentioned that printing the Rocketbook template and buying something like a binder is more expensive than buying a Rocketbook in the long run? I bought one that comes with 32 pages for $34. So that’s slightly over $1 per page. I want to have a physical plus the digital one. So I don’t really want to be erasing pages too much. I want it for school so I would like to show other people my notes physically as well. I was planning in using the free templates with a good quality paper to use with my fountain pens. But I thought it was cheaper than buying several rocket books. Also the ink in the Rocketbook erases itself when it’s hot. So I was a bit worried for that as well.
@JakeReevesVideo11 ай бұрын
It all depends on how long you would be able to use the erasable Rocketbook for. In my experience you can get a few years out of them, so you would have to compare that to the price of paper and printer ink over the same time period. It may be close depending on the paper quality you go for, but I suspect paper would be a little more expensive. That said, paper comes with the convenience of having physical backups and not having to erase.

This is too much work. You can instead print 4 orange triangles and use rocket book beacon scanning on any page/paper. Even existing notes pages you’ve already written on. If you’re going to print out these templates you might as well laminate them and use an erasable marker pen to make them reusable.

I know I'm late to this conversation, but this would be wonderful to use with dry erase pockets if you wanted to make it reusable. I don't know if you could do a whole notebook like this, but I do know some people personally have used sheet protectors and fine point dry erase markers before on regular self made printable templates.

Why don't your printed pages have the little symbols at the bottom of the page for the filing system. Mine do. Also, love your cover idea. I don't take mine anywhere so I just punch a hole in the top left corner and use a loose binder ring.

In original rocket books the QR code is changing or it's same on every page? If it's changing, what is the function of this feature?

I appreciate the creativity and the generosity here and I genuinely do not see the savings of time or money. Recycling is not all there is to using paper over Rocketbook's synthetic sheets; before recycling the paper you have to buy said paper and printer ink and you have to print the page(s). There's no way that takes less time than cleaning a standard Rocketbook page. As to the feel of paper and using writing/drawing implements beyond FriXion pens for stuff you want to send to a Cloud, a simpler 'hack' and much less bother is to create a physical frame of any size that you place over your page, any paper and Send: see this clever teacher's KZbin kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5zdZ2xudp2lkM0si=576yqNc3yd6ZR8_1 (start at marker 8:39 to right to the point) I've other thoughts but this comment is already plenty long.
