I'll be honest, it's hard to hear a different sounding pop song these days with fresh elements, but Ukraine did it, definitely one of my favorite countries in Eurovision.

That hamster wheel is now one of the most unforgettable moment in ESC history, along with the butter making folk girl from Poland at the same year ,burning piano in Austria 2015, Udmurt grannies in Russia 2012 and that drumming grandma in Moldova 2005, what a fun moment in this great song!

Mariya's father was a legendary Ukrainian singer back then in USSR, Mariya got her beauty and her talent from him www.citylife.com.ua/photos/magaz/35/14_4409.jpg he died of cancer at 43 when Mariya was just 3 year old....he was amazing artist and now she is amazing ! thank you Jack, kiss from Ukraine :)

Jake im not sure if you have noticed but in a few videos now, there are akward cuts in the song. Im not sure if this on purpose, but just wanted to point it out. The first video where i really noticed this was your reaction to Finlands entree from 2014. There's different parts of the song where theres few secounds cut and sometimes it cuts in the middle of an word and its very akward.

more likely she bought NF selection just like she "won" the Voice. She's a daughter or late Nazariy Yaremchuk - wonderful Ukrainian pop singer. She's got the name but not her father's quality of voice so no one takes her seriously here. By our Ukrainian standards she's nowhere to be the top artist and hardly will ever become one. one of the weakest Ukrainain entries, she was lucky to grab 6th place because there was almost no competition that year.
