Hey Jake, how are you? Thanks for sharing this slider. I've never seen a consumer type, so that's pretty cool. To add that little bit of parallax changes the whole shot. Very cool Jake, again thank you for all your content and advice You're truly the best.

$600 USD for the slider and another $600 USD for the motorized pan and tilt heads. I genuinely don't understand how motorized sliders aren't significantly cheaper at this point. You could get a motorized slider for around that price 10-15 years ago. $600 for a few bits of metal and a motor seems wildly overpriced to me.

yeah it does seem strange that no one has been able to make one significantly cheaper yet.

Some of the main programmable brands cost WAY more than these units. That is why I held off getting one for a long time. The Zeapon and Neewer are bargains.

Hi Jake. Agree with you 100%. I have the largest Zeapon (120cm). Mostly for B camera interviews as I am a one person show. 10-15% is fine, and silent. I got the long version so that I am not changing direction too often during an interview, but have to be cautious not to change camera angle too much. The pan/tilt head is great, and happily takes an FX6. Recommended. Neewer have a great value unit too, but they did not have the long erosion when I was buying. I have a fair amount of their kit, and found it reliable.

nice! I really wanted to get the longer version specifically for interviews but I found this "works" ok for most of them though I think longer would still be better on an 85mm lens

My Micro 3 doesn't hit the end and grind, it stops smoothly with a gentle ramp. You probably need to calibrate the motor to the slider. The other thing people should be aware of is setting more than 2 waypoints, more than A and B, is only good for timelapse because the slider stops at each waypoint momentarily which looks bad with continuous video.

oh interesting, I will have to do that! Thanks for the tip

Can it handle an FS6?

I think that would be too much weight
