Coming from someone that is very shy and can’t even pick up the camera and record themselves at all, I honestly believe you need to make any sort of videos! You’ve got the vehicle(s) and a badass garage to make some incredible content man, keep up the good work and videos coming in no matter what it is, the 135i community salutes you!

I would say the content is great I use to watch all your videos back in your early days when I had an N54. But I switched from that platform. The N54 is great but it’s an older platform most content or diys for it are all over the place. I would say to draw an bigger crowd or more views is to get into a new platform for new content that isn’t out there. A lot of the older N54 owners are S55 owners now or B58 owners. There is so much on the table like BMW fanatic he switched from the N54 platform etc etc. I will always love your 135i you inspired me to get one and I loved it!

KZbin is a slow burn for most. But I think it will pay off. Build the car, go out and have fun with it, show us what fast really is, and maybe even collaborate with other YT people to expose different audiences. All I can say is that when this channel is burning right, its really good. You def have the chops to make it work.

Hey bud. I have a 135i with 115k with air ride and a few upgrades. DCI, BOV, Charge pipe, catch can, ram air routers, trans pan with new bolts, etc. I bought the car drove it home and parked it and started adding parts. I bought another 135i just for parts. I kept the motor and trans out of that and many other parts. I knew when I bought my car the turbos were going bad, but I was willing to work with that the motor is really clean and runs and drive great. I’ve had electrical problems with the module under the dash and now it won’t try to crank. I don’t know as much about bmw to figure out what it is and I don’t want to take it to bmw and get charged thousands for a diagnostic test. I’m at the point of wanting to sell it. Unfortunately, I’m in Chattanooga, TN which is kinda far from you. I wish I could sell you mine and help you continue your build and your channel.

@candycornpeeps Жыл бұрын
@@jake_spence I do think the LS will get you views as that is the go to engine swap. I feel it has lost its uniqueness. Now n54 swaps into other stuff that is more of a rarity. You popped up in my suggestions, so this is literally the first video of yours that I have watched, so I have nothing to compare to. That said, I actually prefer to watch videos like this than overproduced "perfect" videos. I tend to create more of a bond with content creators that seem more "unedited" and real. I'm sure you may have to cut out a blooper now and again, but I think the ability to more rapidly create a raw, honest video will be more endearing to your fans than spending all of that time polishing something that should really just be wearing it's natural patina. I don't know why I spent this much time typing this much for a 1st time video, but something told me I should.

I had a new 93 Mustang GT. Car was all red with grey cloth interior & it was a slick top, no sunroof! I have a fast 135i now that’s almost the twin to your car! Jet black 09 with 44,008 miles. Car has pure 600 twins & all really good parts. I built it myself & im still going. AFE twin cone intake, racing dynamics catless DP’s, ETS 7” race intercooler. Plus tons more like over $1300 dollars into titanium hardware & port injection is going in this year. Your car will go in the 9’s if you dial in your suspension & power shift that bitch! Leave out of the hole at 5 grand & leave your foot to the floor! I’d love to bump into you & chop it up about cars! I’ll look you up on instagram & you can see some of the things I’ve done to my 135i! Car is gonna be all show & all go!…💪🏻💯🔥🏁

We have the same anthracite apex wheels too! Yeah you make plenty of power, it’s just getting it out of the hole hard and fast. You have enough power for the 8’s just have to get it out of the hole! My mustang was a 5 speed & it was a stock bottom end. I was running a Vortech S-Trim blower, edelbrock aluminum heads that were ported & polished from edelbrock for extra$. I had a custom aluminum intake made too. The car went good! I’ve always loved fast cars & boats, motorcycles too…✌🏻😂

Jake, I love you man. My problem with your channel is not getting consistent glimpses into what fun stuff you're up to, or updates/thoughts on stuff you have or have been doing. It's sporadic, random, inconsistent, very infrequent & spaced-out videos that you upload to your channel, that I basically forget you exist, or what you have going on. Let me clarify, last year or so, you had a video on you and your girl buying Honda Groms. What happened with those? Any group rides? Any mods? Maintenance how-tos? Are you selling them? Are you looking at getting different bikes? Did you learn how to wheelie? Nope. Nothing. It's like a one-off and not even an update video explaining that the Grom video didn't do well, and so that's your reason for stopping them. (But are you really gonna let analytics stop you from living your own life?) The F80 M3 you bought, there's been some good content on that, but then it just kind of died. I have no idea what's going on with any of your rides, or other cool endeavors because you don't video it or talk about it. You just say that you've been busy. And that's been the theme of your channel, to it's detriment. Besides the 135i, & occasional 3-series how-to, you've been doing one-offs or throwing sphaghetti at the wall to see what sticks. Almost like you're trying really hard to make the perfect video, or attempting to cater content to us. I don't want you to cater the perfect video for us, I just want to see Jake. I want to see what Jake is up to. Everything that Jake is doing, everything he's been learning, or trying out, or thinking of doing, whether it's swapping an engine in a bmw, or getting a rusty old snow-blower running & clearing your driveway then buying coffee or something in the winter beater, I just enjoy the chill vibes with a similar-minded mechanic, bringing us along on his endeavors, & solving new problems. Even though I originally came in primarily interested in e82/n54 content, I chose to stay to learn about the f80, 2-post lift garage life, Wisconsin life, grom life, whatever is is that Jake, JAKE is trying to learn & attack, then share with us. That is all. I hope you find your stride again. You don't have to film EVERY little thing, but just work on your projects, and then pick up the camera when you have something you know you want us to see, or have something to say. Don't worry about angles, lighting, focus & soundtrack if that takes too much of your time, only enough to make it clear & concise that we understand what you're trying to do! Most of us are pretty mechanically inclined by now. I know I personally have had to learn by DOING the work myself, because not everyone can film everything & "hold my hand" 😅 You just gotta DO IT! 💪🏼
