What do you guys think we will do at the back up nose tackle? All other DTs are barely 300 lbs

Well eagles picked up PJ mustipher for the back NT. If he doesn't work out then they will pick up someone in training camp or right after training camp during preseason

Also, if Mustipher fails to beat out Booker IV or Gabe Hall for an active roster spot, it is likely that Carter will get more reps at the 1/2 technique on plays when Davis isn't on the field. In a nickel package, not having a true nose will not be as much of a hindrance. Additionally, there is a good chance we will see some hybrid 4-3 looks, with wider DTs and DEs, given the number of guys on the Roster now (Jalyx Hunt comes to mind) who are capable of playing an Off-ball SAM role.

@@johnperetin5944 I think everyone is already writing hunt off for some reason but I think he will be able to contribute a bit this season and going into next year he will only climb higher up the ranks. Could be a starter by the end of the year honesty if there is an injury

@@stephenkonkle4328 He's is **really** raw as a edge rusher, and I think that people just assume that translates to other parts of his game. He has actually shown a lot of skill in camp in pass coverage (which makes sense, given his training as a safety). Fangios system heavily utilizes that mold of guy, who can play in space, rush, set the edge against the run, etc on the front side. Hunt, Baun, and Smith should all get significant reps at SAM this year (in base defense).

John said it I think depth at RB2 a one cut runner to compliment Barkley. Also, D-Line is the next big point I'd say wait till training camp if the DTs or DE looks weak upgrade there. Judon or Calais Campbell would be perfect depth and veteran leadership.

I feel like the D line will be in the top half of all D lines in the NFL..!! I really wanna see who starts at RG because we r a offensive driven team an we need the best players on the field as in mekhi becton an I really thought steen would start but mekhi is the kinda player u wanna get on the field

@michaelkerwin4755 True but that's if they play to their potential as a D Line. I think that's why they drafted and brought some bodies to compete at RG. I don't have faith in Gainwell to br RB2 or start if Barkley gets hurt. I just think we need depth at RB mainly and competition at D line.
