He's a beast. I love how on that last lap he keeps checking his shoulder and then says, "boys it's time to go and guess what none of you can hang so see you later" Then it's roadrunner time.

He’s amazing. His competitors can’t keep starting out slow and then allowing him to out kick them if they truly want to have a chance it seems. They are going to have to make these races tougher for him with a really brisk pace and hope he has less of a kick at the end as a result. Easy to say, tough to do with a guy that fast.

Saw a few comments saying that folks should of taken it out faster to tire Jakob. The irony is that a lot of his races are lead from the front and grind the pace, that’s his strong suit not necessarily his finishing kick. I think he’s trying out new tactics before the Olympics and testing his finishing speed (also doesn’t want to tire himself out unnecessarily, just needs to get the W with the least fatigue)
@molder22335 ай бұрын
Kerr has run him down the last couple of times in the 1500. I think he’s keenly aware of that and is trying to crank it up in the final 400 to prepare for Paris. That said, Ingebrigsten at his best can run 3:27, he does that and he won’t have to worry about Kerr, he’ll be trailing by ten meters.

What he shouldn't do is keep doing the 1500m & sticking up the finger ( No1 ) because the last 2 World Champs he lost to 2 x Scotsmen & again at the Olympics because of his arrogance. Just watched Zurich Diamond league & he done it again with the finger & lost AGAIN 😂 He should go 5000m & train for the 10000m because 1500m last kick isn't there anymore & I'm delighted for the little shit. He's says he's going to get all the WR from 800m up to the marathon 😂😂 Young nieve idiot.

Looking forward to see what he can do against the best in the world at The OG. He is will need some real mental toughness to get through the 1500m. Not saying he won't be he has some demons to banish from previous championship races. It looks like he is coming in on peak form so that won't be a problem but like I said is he mentally over those previous races?
