I'm especially interested in his ankle mechanics. His seem much better than those of his brother Henrik and many other world-class runners. No leakage of power due to excessive pronation. I'd wager that his running economy is very good.

I don’t know how its bpm is that low for max effort. My bpm can go up to 220 sometimes In a mile race. Thats crazy.
@Trackstaa_
@Trackstaa_ 26 күн бұрын
@@lucas.hahn2027 I think if your BPM is 220 the measuring device is wrong. Its typically meant to be 220- your age. I think the reason Jakobs didn't get to his max was because he only ran max intensity for a short period of time

@@AvinashSingh-sp4qvthis depends on your strengths and weaknesses, but for reference sake, a famous running influencer in Norway (almost 40 years old) broke 4min in the 1500m this summer and he measured around 2,5 mmol/L in a 10x 1000m for 3:20/km (60s breaks). He broke 4min after reducing volume and working a bit more on speed and mechanics because he focuses mainly on the marathon (trying to break 2:20:00).

@@AvinashSingh-sp4qv honestly that's a massive variation depending on aerobic fitness. They almost have no correlation in the sense of a specific time

that heart rate data is not accurate his average would have been a lot higher than 174 and his max hr would definitely be in the 190 + considering he ran the last 800 in 1:50. I don't really get why Coros is releasing this data when it's clearly not accurate. Only trust chest based hr readings.
@soccergalsara
@soccergalsara 25 күн бұрын
varies from athlete to athlete doesn't it. some athletes are good because they can run fast with lower hr, some are good because they can withstand high hr for a long time

Why is a higher heart rate better than a lower one - especially in terms of regen and sleep?
