Hey Spencer, the Freewall Outdoor Version has a phenolic resin coating and is therefore suitable for the outdoor use. The backside is closed and waterproof. We are currently developing an additional cover with a zipper also #comingsoon. More on www.artrock.at/produkt-kategorie/freewall/

Hey Lennart, die Freewall Outdoor Version ist mit einer Phenolharzbeschichtung (herkömmlich als Siebdruck Platten bekannt) versehen und somit für den Outdoor-Gebrauch geeignet. Die Rückseite ist geschlossen und Wasserdicht, um die Wand und Die Griffe noch besser zu schützen wird es eine Schutzhülle mit praktischem Reisverschlusssystem geben (#CommingSoon)

It would be an advanced idea if kilter, moon or artrock make boulders imitating real nature boulders like "Bügeleisenkante" in 3 or 4 parts. The real boulders are shown in youtube. It should be also possible to use the roundes edges of the wall for real toe and foothooks. The price 4000 bis 5000 is ok in contrary to moonwall (10.000) Maybe a long and icy winter is a problem for the Wood wall and the wooden grips , a good plastic cover , at least in Tirol, should be in the package nebst heated grips ! :))
