''2020 was finally supposed to be a year of touring.
When all the craziness started to happen I immediately thought of making another record, although it turned out to be more difficult than ever.
I guess I was still exhausted from all the work that went into 'Nothing Lasts, Nothing's Lost'
and couldn't really finish any new music.
I had a little breakthrough around May, when 'Moon Ghost' was written.
This song was born out of the uncertainty towards my relationship with the internet and the polarizing influence that it had, both on me and the people around. In order to save my mental health I started a few months long digital detox, which I think was crucial to
write the track and to gain a clearer perspective over my relation
with the online world. The live version of this song is a stripped-down one, kept in a minimal form while the original one is its opposite - it also features a different singer. I didn't feel like I was ready to put out a 'proper' single this year, but this little live version felt like something fun and challenging to do. Anyway, this brought us to the live album. We started practicing the songs around late August. Seeing each other regularly at the rehearsal space gave the feeling of 'normality' which I think all of us needed. I don't honestly remember the last time when we've practiced so hard -
it was so cool! We rented a theatre and recorded the performance on October 10th.
After the recording was done, I spent all these weeks putting the video together and mixing the tracks which were 'finished' a few hours ago, as I'm typing this right before making the album public hahah. Sorry for so many wooooooords, I guess it's because of that coffee. I'll stop now. Thank you so much for your continuous support. I am truly, truly grateful. Hope you enjoy the performance.''
big love,
- jakub

Just saw you live Jakub. Plini is obviously a class act, but I was most impressed with your sensibility for dynamics and interesting phrasing. You are not only one of my favorite guitarists, but one of my favorite artists. Your live playing was absolutely incredible, and I had to pick my jaw up off the floor several times. Please keep making amazing music, your playing is so unique and intricate. Also your other two bandmates are kickass as well, I loved the energy of your bassist.

A complete masterclass of musicianship given in a video that's free for all to watch and it only has 377,000 views. This world is such an unfair place that this much generosity in talent is given as a gift to fans and people have no clue how much value it holds. Much love to you guys for treating us to such an amazing concert. You deserve so much more than this.

Hey Jakub! I believe you are the greatest guitarist that ever lived. Your music changed my life. You made me love music on a level I could never have imagined. You made me aware of a dimension of complexity that I may have never experienced without your incredible mind. You made me a better guitarist. You improved my life with every song, and I am thankful. I hope you live a long, healthy, and joyful life!

i asked myself a lot whether or not saying things like "greatest guitarist ever" was appropriate for discussion. I can honestly say that Jakub put me in a zone to the point where I can seriously just state as forward as possible "I sincerely believe this man is greatest guitarist to ever live." I just think Jakub on a fundamental level shows a level of mastery and proficiency in not only guitar, but musicianship. He's pioneered a completely unique sound, of which he alone is capable of emulating. He has risen and proved himself time and time again to be absolutely fantastic, his peers refer to him with respect above comprehension. I agree with everything you said, and I'm happy to see anyone else feel the same.

What a rich blending of agile yet soulful guitar, textural synths and samples, tight intricate drums and rock solid yet articulate bass. The pockets of silence in Light a Fire are perfectly placed. Ale oryginalne aranżacje i gitarowy kunszt w połączeniu z młodością mnie przebudził! To tak można w Polsce grać? Jestem pod wrażeniem. I grew up listening to Dream Theater, Opeth, Plini, Chon etc, then got bored of guitar stuff and started listening to electronic music like Jon Hopkins and Flume. And then I discovered Jakub, who is the best of both worlds

@@MrSarapatitucci random question: when this whole pandemic shit is over, ideally will you guys be more inclined into touring with guitar based bands like Plini, Intervals, AAL etc or with electronic acts like Jon Hopkins, Bon Iver (who is another influence of yours, I guess? Especially his last two albums) :)

@@Enry5898 Aww yes, Bon Iver is a genius! I guess our main tour activity as a Jakub's band will be playing with Plini and other amazing bands, but we'd also love to catch up with electronic-oriented artist. Definetely my solo project made with my brother will be strictly electronic music. We're realasing first single soon as SARAPATA

I'm one minute into the second track and it blew me off my chair! I don't know where I am right now. It's all dark, but I can hear the music so it feels right. I hope I find my way back when the video's over.

Thank you Jakub for the music. I can't help but get this crazy nostaligic feeling from your music. It feels so real and natural - I can't really express in words to be honest but you are easily my favourite guitar player. Your music has accompanied me through probably the craziest time in my life as I became a father and moved country. Can't wait to properly absorb this performance too! Keep inspiring, Martin.
