Good to see the guy in the beach having a jam, he seemed to be well set up. Thanks for letting us know about the Padma Hotel my favourite place to stay it never disappoints.🙏 So sad to see all the bars and restaurants closed along Jalan Padma. If only we had crystal ball to look into the future.😎🙏

Just a glimpse. The song that the guy sang is called Jogjakarta. One of the most famous song in Indonesia describing Jogjakarta in a very descent words, beautifully written and composed by the legendary KLA Project. Believe me, I once also hanging around in Bali while singing Jogjakarta. We all do.

Bali Life Me it’s sad to see the streets so empty & all the shops closed. I wonder what all the people are doing now with no jobs? U are correct in u have put out a few vlogs....I missed them & watched them after this one😊
@BaliInsiderGuide4 жыл бұрын
@@megant7373 Good girl... hehehe.. So the answer is, usually the workers are not the owners of the business. My feeling is that the business owners are fine and all the workers are back at home, mostly in other parts of Indonesia. They don't have work but they have extended families who are supporting each other. I do, thanks to subscribers, distribute food packs cautiously to people in Bali but mostly the Balinese continue to receive 3 meals a day for each family member from the village councils. The food packs from us go to Javanese and others stranded here due to inablity to leave for financial reasons. I have asked so many Balinese if they would like a food pack and only a couple have accepted as they are surviving on savings but are struggling with car loans etc. It's surely the same the world over and the feeling here is relaxed and many people are just enjoying cycling, spending money if they have it and budgeting if not. To perceive the Kuta area as Bali is like perceiving Hollywood as L.A. It's a tourist strip that is currently not functioning for the most part. Generally people are coping just fine. :) W

Hey Waz....this might be a silly question, but I'll ask it anyway. My partner commented that it looks like people (tourists) look like they are starting to emerge in Bali? Is this the case? If so, where are they from? Certainly not Australia? If so, how are they getting there? Thanks.

Actually that I would love. We are riding 20-30km now so... a little while off but do-able. Used to ride 80km a day. You sound like a cyclist terubong?
@terubong4 жыл бұрын
@@BaliInsiderGuide 80km a day! Then it should not be difficult to bring it back to that distance fast. I was, but more of a leisure cyclist. Always thought of cycling in Bali but back in the days I was actively exploring, the only bicycles I see were the old farmers using what looked like 1950s bikes. Haha. I'm a little out of touch and was shocked to see Brompton in the shop on one of your videos.

Hey Waz... I noticed that previously you mentioned (either spoken and/or written) that you're not feeling that OK, and now you're saying it again. Hope everything's alright, mate. My sincerest prayer for your well-being - namaste 🧘🏻♂️

Struggling a bit mate which is bound to happen at some stage. I have three different types of cancer so I'm pushing it uphill but this was my choice in that I refused ongoing treatment altogether. Adjusting my diet and finding success with this in the last few days. I've always done things my way and so far this has been my saving grace given that I was given 2-3 months to live 6 months ago. Your sincere concern and prayer is so gratefully accepted and I feel like the power of this kind of sentiment and my incredibly arrogant and pig-headed determination will continue to drive me through for the foreseeable future. I intend to keep bouncing back and pushing the odds. It's pretty much what drives me, my egotistical stubbornness. hehe... Much love to you friend. W
