Well…. I grew up with budgies, goldfish and my first cat, Vicky .. and a red dachshund called Squibs…I kid you not! lol😂 ! Got married and immediately after the honeymoon we adopted two tiny black kittens whom we called Binkle and Flip. We also had another red dachshund called Chloe..who out of the blue aged 7 started having continuous fits one day. I drove her to the vets.. they kept her in. 24 hours later she was groggy but fine.. an hour later she had two heart attacks and we lost her! Man that nearly killed us as a family as you can imagine. We decided to..no more until we all heal. I was distraught. Oddly..the next night … I’felt’ her jump on the bed..and snuggle!! The pain lifted to be immediately replaced by the need to go to the 30 mile away animal shelter. I couldn’t shake the feeling day in and out.. so I went one afternoon and said nothing to no one. There was a 4 month old, gorgeous white dog with marmalade patches.. radar dishes for ears! 😂 Calm as a cucumber whilst the other inmates were going insane as I passed. I thought perhaps she’s deaf, turns out she wasn’t but..she was a ‘silent dog’ she barked once a year and often only if we played with the hose with her! She was wonderful, her name was Bracken. She passed a few years ago now, here in Portugal and we had found Saffy the female Siamese and they were friends. Along came a long furred tuxedo named Dax…and then Romeo, a male Siamese and two years ago two kittens, not sisters and maybe 8 months apart turned up at our door - Willow the 20%er as she’s female which is unusual and then the ultra timid, Squirrel mirror image, Merry! During childhood our children kept hamsters - and believe me if someone says you are “Hung like a hamster..” it’s a HUGE compliment! 😊 My son had two male hooded rats..one of whom gave birth to 11 babies the day of our Christmas party! 😮 We kept two large aquarium of tropical fish - guppies, bronze catfish, plecostomus, neon tetras, dwarf gouramis, sword tails, plates, and zebra fish.. which swam in shoals so fast the aquarium was anything but restful! Oh and our son had a dwarf Nederland black and pale cream rabbit that he called Yoda…and she lived for 12 years..she weighed about a pound!

No. Chinchilla. No reptiles. Yes turtles. Yes hamsters. Yes birds. Yes fish. You went to college? I’m a veteran with a gi bill, not sure about my aptitude. No Guinea pig. No rabbit. Absolutely yes dogs. Had cats and dogs because im😮 a dog person.
