That was absolutely terrific guys! Thank you much for playing from home. It is greatly appreciated. I can't but think about our dear friend and fellow trumpet player Wallace Roney who lost his life to Covid. RIP Wallace. Hope to see you all at Lincoln Center soon. God Bless!

Great recording session! I love that the whole trumpet section transcribed Miles Davis's solo on straight no chaser and use it as a trumpet soli'.

Thanks for identifying that solo! I knew I recognized it from something by Miles, and that it wasn't from his recording of "Walkin'." It would have driven me nuts until I figured it out if I hadn't read your comment.

Genial!!!

Hey guys, these I suppose is engraved in parts and then pasted, right? Because the delay would not allow you to play together in real time. yes? anyway, excelent.

I don't really understand what you are asking, but they played the parts separately and then put them together with editing

Please, can a tech savvy person explain what what software or device enables folks to perform and record something like this and not have problems with a time lag? ... and still get a great sound?
@thedamndiz23434 жыл бұрын
I've been wondering the same thing. Been seeing everyone using this "technology".
@jasonstewart69794 жыл бұрын
One way is overdubbing: On a #livefromhere quarantine episode (4/11) Chris T. explained that there is a master recording to start it off, and then the others record their track listening to it to stay synced up and pass it on. They create a new file with another "layer" added. Depends on the group i guess as to which one is first.

Wonderful music. But one comment about the video itself - please, please don't cut away every second or fraction of a second. It's unwatchable. Let the viewer choose who to watch or, at least, leave each player on focus for a reasonable amount of time.
