No player on this team is burning more calories than Carter is on the first 30 snaps of any game. This poor guy gets double teamed and drilled by Center-Guard and Tackle-Guard combos constantly. People have complained that he gets lazy late in games. I don't care who you are, if you are playing like Jalen does in the first half, redlining a 12-cylinder engine, you're going to be worn down too. I hope that if Chicago gets this kid, they give him some breaks throughout the game and some talent around him to help his cause, so he is effective for 4 and sometimes 5 quarters! No conditioning in the world will allow him to keep his first quarter pace all game. I love his tenacity and effort; you don't see much of that from many players anymore!

Stamina was an issue because this was his second game back from an MCL injury and he played more snaps in this game than expected due to a flu bug going through the UGA DL Saturday.

Tennessee runs over 3 plays a minute and he’s been out for over a month with an MCL sprain, this was his first game back….they were also on the field for most of the 4th quarter….he’s projected as a top 5 pick and is rated the best defensive player in college football this season so far at 91.6.

it seems Jalen plays like both a generational talent and a lackluster defender. when he goes full speed and uses his hands, he's the best player in this draft, but if he's slow off the ball (which he is pretty often for a guy of his caliber), he gets abused and stood up. I don't think he's worth a top 5 pick, but if a team can unlock his skillset and get him to go 100mph on every snap he's in, he'll be a dangerous player in the NFL
