@@WISHBONEL7 He was an outstanding QB . The Tide never lost an SEC game when he was QB . They did lose to Notre Dame in the 73 championship game but Todd played well in that game. In his soph. year Him and Gary Rutledge shared QB . both could flat run the wishbone. Coach Bryant once said Todd was better than Namath but later said he was taking cold medicine when he made that stateman. Man where have the years gone. ROLL TIDE !

Work on footwork, intermediate throws, back shoulder throws, RPO throws, touch passes like screens and end zone fades, reading defenses before the ball is snapped in anticipation of pressure, learn to check out of plays into positive plays, learn your progressions, learn to read defensive pass coverages, and the art of true leadership with actions on the field and body language, learn to reduce fumbles and interceptions, and learn to avoid sacks on key passing downs. Jalen Milroe proved his old offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien correct when he told Jalen that he should pick another position to play besides QB. The LAST two years Jalen has played against *ichigan in their bowl game let’s compare the results to find out where the issues are coming from. Yes, Seth McLaughlin and Jalen Milroe had alot of snapping thoughout 2023 season. This trend continued in the CFP Rose Bowl semifinal against *ichigan. There were NUMEROUS snapping miscues from mistimed that lead to a bad play, a 16 yard loss bc the was over Jalen’s head, to the one everyone remembers the final play the low snap that changed the play and resulting in a loss. Shortly after the loss Seth hit the transfer portal and was immediately pursued by THE OHIO STATE. Many Buckeye fans were perplexed because the starting center Carson Hinzman was returning. Also everyone that saw the Rose Bowl would have not wanted to bring those issues to Columbus, when asked by reporters Ryan Day pointed out (CORRECTLY) "I know that was a little bit of a concern, I think it had a little bit to do with the (quarterback's) cadence or whatever. He's been doing great” Ryan Day was proven correct when Seth without playing the entire season (injury) STILL won the Rimington Award, which is given to the best center in college football. Let’s now let’s switch gears to Alabama who continued to have snapping issues this season. Once AGAIN these snapping issues were highlighted in the bowl game against *ichigan. Jalen Milroe’s performance in this year in the ReliaQuest Bowl was dreadful! He had the EXACT kind of snapping issues that happened in last year’s game. It’s important to remember that *ivhigan was playing WITHOUT defense pick round picks Mason Graham and Will Johnson. What isn’t talked about alot of MANY opposing coaches started PICKING UP on the fact that Jalen lines up differently before each play depending on if it’s a run or a pass play!!! It’s EASY to spot lining up with feet parallel to the line of scrimmage on running plays versus offsetting his feet on pass plays. Anyone that know football realizes what a HIUGE advantage this is for the opposing defense. This is why we have seen a SIGNIFICANT drop in his production this year! I wish nothing but the best from that young man and I’ve seen nothing but great things about him as a person. He is EXTREMELY athletically talented and there’s no question that he belongs on the field in the NFL, BUT just not at quarterback.

I don’t believe Russell will start, Simpson should start, Simpson has proven he is a great QB, only reason Milroe stayed 1 is because his talent as a player he just needs one thing to break out and ball, if he could ever be a consistent QB nobody would come close to bama. Simpson had multiple offers from major programs. He’s been in college for few years. This is sec not ACC or somewhere weaker like SMU he needs weight and to wait his turn plus not the bottom half of the sec either. Simpson can throw on the run sit a pocket and toss, deep ball, also he can scramble good to, he backs defenses up and run game will be great.

Tua could have started over Jalen his first year had there been a true competition that season. He came in guns blazing on the biggest stage. So freshman have been ready before in SEC and Alabama. Trevor Lawrence was pretty good as a freshman but wasn’t in SEC but won it all I believe.
