JALTEST CASE STUDY | Calibration of the Volvo I-Shift gearbox not installed in the vehicle

In this new Jaltest Case Study, we show you how to carry out the diagnostics, calibration, and repair with Jaltest of an I-Shift gearbox outside the vehicle, after having replaced its internal components.
This calibration allows the control unit to set and record the values of the splitter and range shift cylinders which are responsible for gearing the different speeds of the gearbox.

Great explanation as usual.Thank you! There is a question according to this case study: many years when I performing gear box calibration on Volvo in some cases I can't find the transmission code. So I'm choosing that one which often use on other trucks. So, I didn't notice any difference between them. Please shortly explane what is a difference and how important to choose correct unit when doing calibration job. Thanks in advance. Edward #autodeducton Russia

Hi. Can you tell me if this will work on the new transmissions ATO2612F? I have the old connector and I am guessing maybe the new Ishift models maybe use another datalink to calibrate??? not sure. I went to a customer to program TECU, calibrate, install new trans, calibrate clutch. MACK. calibration fails due to communication immediately every time i begin the calibration. My gearbox break out harness is 88890206. new break out harness is 88890284. I guess I am asking if the new one has DL1 or DL9 because my tool only has DL 2 on pins 6 and 14 of the 16 pin connector. and would the other datalink be used for calibrations? I am able to do ATO2612D calibrations and have done F calibrations in the past. but maybe this is a newer one than before?
