Good point about how their different mentalities in their fights impact their views on this topic. Jamahal aint a victim and Aljo leans on it heavily. These two could never get along for more than an interview's worth of time. Victims and their constant excuses drive you and I crazy and I know it does for Jamahal too, probably even more.

After this Aljo will probably cry victimhood again, that’s what he does when he isn’t fighting.

First and foremost, I love that you're pointing out that so many fighters don't even understand the rules themselves. Ronan, you absolutely need to do a separate video on the scoring criteria and how they even came up with the way that they score the fights. There is a very rich history behind the entire subject and a lot of controversy regarding whether or not it needs some very specific changes. I will make my case below, briefly... The whole reason that I'm passionate about this is because they contradict themselves on a regular basis. They need to come up with Something that is consistent. I would even love to have you on my channel (the larger one of the 2 I have) to have a conversation about this topic. It would not be a "debate", by any means, but there are a couple of things that I think the younger generation does not understand about the rule set. I have specific beliefs regarding that as well. Just as an extreme example, I believe fighters should know what the score is, in-between rounds, if they're scoring it at that moment anyway. If they start scoring in a different fashion, great. But as of now, they score at that moment. There's no reason to be different than any other "sport". I point that out, because we specifically now refer to this as a "sport". Back in the day when I used to compete, and yes it was on a very low level, but I still did compete, Everything was scored in a much more efficient level with regards to the notion that it's a "fight". It's not a football game or a basketball game or a Soccer game. It's a fight. There should be certain rules changed, based upon the fact that the more "beat up", or as you refer to "close to finish" with merab buckling from the t kick. It should be the one coming out with the win. I really enjoy what you put out there, and I don't have a lot of time to watch everything, but I wanted to comment on this. I'm leaving out a lot of beliefs that I have with regards to this topic. I just felt like throwing something out there. Keep it up ronin! You're gonna be huge 1 day! As someone who studies the human mind and personality, I can tell you that people will gravitate towards your channel, and you will absolutely blow up! I can already see that you're touching up on certain aspects that you probably noticed yourself needing to work on. Good s***!

I understand Aljo being Salty against Omalley, because UFC never liked Aljo in the 1st place and didn't give him the respect he deserves as a Champion. He was suppose to take a break after defending his belt 3 times. UFC kinda rushed him and blinded him with money to make a quick turn around against Omalley. The thing with Omalley Merab fight, ppl saying Merab didn't do anything in the ground. And ppl even say Omalley won rounds. Merab did what he's suppose to do. Take him down, and knee his legs to compromised his movement. Omalley didn't really do anything as well. He didn't make adjustment to atleast chase Merab so he can let his hands go. He kinda let Merab do his thing.

I always thought this was going to be an issue once certain MMA fighters started up with their little youtube channels. In this case, Sterling will spew some BS on his platform, and all his herd will just run with it as if it's facts. When in reality, it's not.

Thank you for making this video. It's so spot on. No one ever talks about this stuff. Thank u for calling this sh*t out. *Sidenote: Even tho Sean lost. I feel he is capable of much more. {This was the most "not like Sean" I've ever seen) O'Malley didn't move, feint, shimmy. He didn't throw out his usual strikes that build up and create openings. He didn't sprawl or fight takedowns like he usually does, he just didn't utilize his offense like he usually does} Props to Merab he won. I just feel like Merab did a whole lot of running around, burning up the clock, not engaging. Merab shot way less takedowns than normal. Again Merab definitely won. He didn't win by HURTING Sean tho..

Yeah like he clearly and deservingly won, but I don’t think a 48-47 scorecard is that crazy. O’Malley definitely takes the 5th round based on damage, and possibly the 3rd.

Ive seen all the rounds 1,3,5 arguments and they dont hold up, I can't stand Merab as champ but he clearly dominated in that fight and broke Omalleys will, you could even see it in his eyes and hear it in the coaching, he had a couple moments but was never really in the fight

@@f.mckenzie4212ehh no heavy sub attempts, little heavy ground and pound, suga landed the cleaner strikes, a lot of shots suga rolled with on the feet, merab best shots was the knees in the 3rd and there was only 2 clean ones the other only nipped but suga was moving away or got blocked. Jus saying 🤷🏽‍♂️

@@Tr3theVonit's crazy to say Sean landed the cleaner strikes when he only landed maybe 8 the entire flight... Couldn't put a single combo together. Merab's striking looked like shit. Jabs from a mile away. But there was nothing on the feet to score it was so slow and boring. But you got to move to grappling when there is nothing to score in stand-up.

It’s 4-1 Merab scoring the most scoring the fight in the most honest way. Honestly if they aren’t scoring control time they need to stand the fight up more when the grappler is stalling or doing “just enough” to keep the position.
@THERONINOFFICIAL
@THERONINOFFICIAL Күн бұрын
They aren't SUPPOSED TO score control time. It's very clearly state in the rules. All else needs to be equal to move to that criteria.
@bbyjohn11
@bbyjohn11 Күн бұрын
@@THERONINOFFICIAL sure they are supposed to score the fight a certain way but you know in all basically every combat sport fights are score by “who looks like they won the fight”. If they want it to be clear the control time doesn’t matter then the officiating has to match the scoring criteria. You aren’t gonna win a fight off your back.
