When the plantain is green & hard, the fiber is more pronounced so it stay longer in the stomach and retards the blood sugar spike. So it's better for diabetics, as long as there's limited added sugar. Or you could use evaporated milk and stevia sweetener.

Its nice to see a man in the kitchen. You do not need flou in plantain porridge it has its own gluten. If it is too thin, next time use more plantain. Definitely for banana porridge.

I have never seen, or heard anything like this but am gonna try it, i need to try this. looks so good at the end
@jamdg542 жыл бұрын
For those who don’t like floor or have gluten allergy you can omit the flour. The plantain thickens without flour. Use of monkfruit which is expensive but for those who e diabetic. Of course not too much of it if ur diabetic but glycemic index is about the same as pasta. green plantains less glycemic index than ripe ones.

I do not have much experience with plantains. Everything I see online for recipes is unfortunately usually fried. I was so happy to see this recipe and I am going to try it as soon as I can find green plantains. I’d like to comment on how clean you are It’s refreshing to watch. I’m going to click the subscribe button and hope to see more plantain recipes in the future as I really like this starchy fruit, but I don’t want to alway eat it fried. I’m sure there must be so many more ways to use this beautiful starchy fruit. I personally would love to see a play list solely on plantains ;)
