JAMAICAN PREACHER WHO 'BUN UP' EVERYONE

We called him "mus bun". Every few words would end with "yu mus bun". I do not remember him on the diesel (train) but on St.James Street in the heart of downtown Montego Bay.

"..... Yuh a go bun up" was the phrase I remember. I am 67 and from St. James. He preached at the market also.

I know him very well He was a fixture on the train and at times on the Streets of Montego Bay. Every sentence he would punctuate it with 'Bun yuh must bun'. This gave him the name bun up . He died long ago.
