The government is no historian. That's why she is doing it. Would you like the governement to use taxpayers money to employ a researcher to fund such a research? Maybe so, but she said Paul Bogle fought for qoute "fair treatment of all Jamaicans" which definitely incorrect. Don't believe me then read Paul Bogles book. Yes he wrote and was calling to arms all black people in the spectrum of who know today as black people. Not sure if he also included mixed race, mulatto or whatever they tended to call children born to the slave owner or white overseers. Remember Bogle lived after the freeing of black slaves and there was a pronounced cast system. Remember a lot Indians and Pakistanes wirked in the coloniall administrational systemy of commerce. Here's a qoute from his book "Skin For Skin". "Every black man must turn out at once, for the oppression is too great; the white people are now cleaning up they guns for us”. Now correct me please if I'm wrong.

Hello Irina has a Jamaican living abroad i appreciate your research and proof about the photo. I literally got into a argument on Facebook with a black American blog about them stealing our Jamaican national hero's image and they tried to argue with me and said all kind of false information about the image. So thank you so much.

Irina Irina. Great researcher. You are phenomenal. You left no stone unturned. Thank you for restoring our National hero. Paul Bogle’s picture authenticity. A lot of people think of Jamaica as a third world country. They forget that this was a British colony and that things like photography and indoor water and electricity was present in Jamaica ages ago. Even though these things wet for the rich only it was there

@@sadikihall4466 I'm hoping to finish the research in 2024 and publish the documentary then. Aiming for October 2024, but we'll see how the research goes. As for the Jennings family - these claims are false, as there are no members of Jennings family, no descendants survived, so the information about them planning to do anything cannot be true.

Irina! I appreciate you for this video! All the work that went into this research to break ground on that photo is phenomenal! Jamaican history is extremely rich and I love that about my country but there was a reason Edna Manley didn’t use the photo for the monument even though she knew about it, I’d also go as far to say there were doubts before the first release of the photo which is the reason for the delay and the fact that the original is now missing is mind blowing to me. I do hope you receive responses from others with similar backgrounds in the photos for a follow up. This could just be the pivot needed for future generations learning about the national heroes accurately.

Thank you so much for sharing this comment 🙏 Well, I've been actually doing the research on this photo for almost 12 months now. The video here just shows the tip of the iceberg. So far the evidence shows that this photo might be very much connected to Paul Bogle - it's either him or somebody who was close to him or his family. This project is still in progress. Once we finish the research, we'll be making a full documentary about Paul Bogle.
