Alot of these people seem to be long forgotten. May they continue to R.I.P. You're not doing any harm to anyone. A Cemetery is a open place & a place for everyone to be able to go & walk around & read the headstones. If family wanted the graves private from the public, then they wouldn't be buried in a Cemetery for all to see. Keep up the good work.

In USA cemeteries are closed at a certain time because you have people desecrate the dead and destroy the Graves those people are heartless and you will be arrested if caught the cemetery is clean in May Pen if I was living out there I would love to see it may their soul rest in peace I give you thumbs up good job ❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍

We can not depent on Public works or gov to clean up the cemeteries in JA. We have to do it out self and archive our historical past. They gave the land, luckily, they did not take it back. Gov have no loyalties to anyone/things. We are the only one who love to go to funerals but, don’t preserve and respect our ancestors memories. Go to Bottom road in Mobay in the smack of the tourist center; between 2 major and popular hotels; there is a Jewish cemetery this space is sacred, respected and maintained to preserved their ancestor’s memories and their records that, they will never forget. MayPen cemetery, is the only place that, we can associate with, to educate us, to our truth, and of our loved ones and of our past.

Came across the channel an hour ago. Lovely raw footage. Just some additional information about the May Pen Cemetery. It actually was named after the Chinese family called May. They had given the land up for the cemetery to be erected there. So just gave this info, for those who might be wondering if it had any relations to the May Pen, in Clarendon.

I’ve been binge watching your videos. While I am not from Jamaica, I have learned so much lately about the country and your videos have lead me to do some more research on the music, people and places there. Keep up the good work, and do be careful out there 🙂! Such a shame that May Pen cemetery has gotten into such a state of disrepair. Hopefully one day work can be done to clean it up and that the records can be organized for families who might be interested in looking up records of their relatives and might want to visit the graves of family members. Anyway, I look forward to your next video. Edit: Wow, “disrepair” is an understatement! That poor man was left uncovered to the elements. That is horrible!

BLESS-UP 'MI 'BREDDAH👍 I AM A BORN AND RAISED BLACK AMERICAN THAT GREW UP AROUND ALOT OF JAMAICANS. I VISITED J.A. RECENTLY FOR THE FIRST TIME, AND STAYED IN "THE GHETTO" FOR MY WHOLE STAY OF ALMOST ONE MONTH. LOVED IT, AND IT WAS ALL MANNERS AND RESPECT. ❤ I STAYED IN "WALTHAM-PARK" RIGHT OFF THE MAIN ROAD (W.P. ROAD). I USED TO PASS MAY PEN CEMETERY DAILY WHEN HEADED INTO TOWN, AND TO CORONATION MARKET. IT'S CRAZY HOW YOU DID THIS VIDEO AND I SAW IT, BECAUSE I WANTED TO VISIT "JIM BROWN'S" GRAVE, AND PAY RESPECT TO THE "DON OF DONS". 🙏 I NEVER GOT TO THOUGH BECAUSE I WAS WARNED ABOUT THE TIVOLI GUYS HIDING GUNS IN THERE, AND NERVOUS ABOUT STRANGE FACES. I WAS ADVISED TO HIRE A GUIDE FROM TIVOLI, BUT THEN WARNED THAT THE GUIDE MAY STILL ROB YOU ONCE INSIDE AND OUT OF VIEW !! 😃 ANYWAY...I JUST FORGOT ABOUT THE IDEA. 🤔 ANYWAY...FOR THE RECORD, I USED TO WALK THROUGH SPANISH TOWN ROAD PASS THE CEMETERY ON THAT SIDE OF TIVOLI ALL THE TIME, AND AT NIGHT AS WELL. I WOULD WALK FROM CORONATION ALL THE WAY TO DENHAM-TOWN POLICE STATION...AND NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE, NOR DID I SEE ANYONE ELSE BECOME A VICTIM OF "CRIME". IF SOMEONE GOT CAUGHT UP IN SOMETHING, THERE WAS USUALLY A STORY BEHIND IT. IN OTHER WORDS...THEY WERE DOING DIRT TOO !! 🤔 BUT OTHERWISE...IT WAS ALWAYS MANNERS AND RESPECT.👍 COMING FROM AMERICA...MAY PEN CEMETERY IS AMAZING, BECAUSE OF THE STATUES AND MOTORBIKES ON THE GRAVES !! 😮 THE PAINTINGS ON THE GRAVES ARE ALSO AMAZING. NOTHING LIKE THAT COULD BE SEEN IN AMERICAN CEMETERIES. 🙏 JAMAICANS REALLY SEND OFF THEIR LOVED ONES IN STYLE. I WAS TRULY IMPRESSED.👍 MUCH RESPECT TO YOU 'BREDDAH...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. MUCH SUCCESS TO YOU, AND STAY SAFE. 🙏 I HIT THAT SUBSCRIBE BUTTON FOR YOU TOO. 😃👍

Jamaica needs to create Jobs on the island to help the situation, people are in need of work and I can’t understand why the government over looks simple issues like this I’m absolutely appalled by watching this it’s truly shocking, I had no idea that there is no up keep I also have family laid at rest in may pen cemetery I’d hate to think….
