Heres the thing about the soft foul vs Murray. Name a team in the NBA that has had LESS cause to complain about officiating this year than the Lakers. Everyone gets the short end of bad calls sometimes. It feels bad, its upsetting but it happens. Games are chaotic and subjective and reffing is a skill and some are better than others and mistakes happen and coaches sometimes don't challenge when they should. But Lebron has had to deal with that particular problem less often than most players and teams. Remember when Jokic got ejected TWICE this season for saying less to a ref than Lebron did last night? Luka got a technical foul last night in a playoff game for saying less! So yeah, sometimes the calls don't go your way and you have to win anyway. Especially when you're undefeated when ahead by 10+ going into the 4th quarter. But don't say the Lakers choked. The Nuggeys played literally flawlessly down the stretch. They had a 200 offensive rating for the last 5 minutes of the game. By that point, the Lakers had to score on every. single. possession. to stay in the game. That's a really big ask for any team and they almost pulled it off. Its honestly a credit to Lebron and the Lakers that they didn't lose by 10.
