When Luka and Wemby came into the league, nobody was ready to anoint either the GOAT, or even take anyone's spot as the best current player in their rookie year. The WNBA players, who are already trying to increase their fan base, basically have a large percentage of the basketball fan base saying that about Clark. Games are selling out, not to watch the WNBA games, but to watch the Caitlin Clark games. Luka and Wemby were a great side show their rookie year. Clark is immediately the headliner on the main stage. It would be like a rookie bumping Serena from Center Court at Wimbledon or the Arthur Ashe Stadium at the US open.

Caitlin Clark may have had 10 turnovers but she was trying moves and passes that her teammates have never seen. Yah, maybe she shouldn't have tried some of those passes. But the cojones factor she is bringing needs to be acknowledged by her coach and her teammates. She has more talent than the rest of her current team combined and is gonna be SOOO fine... after the team makes a few trades.

rudy gobert is getting killed but jokic does this to everyone that gaurds him. also rudy's strengths and the reason he won those dpoys is he anchors top 5-10 defenses for every team he plays for is he is a great help defender and rim protector. he allows the defenders in front of him to play incredibly aggressive because they know he's behind them ready to block shots and deter offensive players from shooting at all. rudy is great at what he does and he deserves to be in the conversation for dpoy every year hes in his prime and healthy, but he's just not great at one on one post defense which is why jokic barbeque's him, btw he's still decent at that too just nobody in the league right now can gaurd jokic and that type of defense isnt rudy's specialty compared to his other strengths.

Shout out to the league for their decision to switch up the ref style when we went down 0-2 to MN, to make MN back off on defense. That was a smart move for many reasons: 1. People want offense style basketball, not boring defense ball. We want to see these amazing athletes score! 2. MN has a tiny fanbase so if they win the series that's bad for NBA's future. Ratings will go down. 3. Denver are the defending champs with 3 time MVP (should be 4 time) so there's serious legacies at stake, here. And that's serious $ down the line too. 4. The only people complaining is MN fans who know the history that playoffs have always been reffed more physical to allow D, so switching to soft reffing in the playoffs mid-series is unfair and unprecedented. But there are so few of them that this is really a decision that's about benefiting the most people possible. 5. And even for MN, their players make more money if the league succeeds. So if they stop to think about it, it's even better for them financially in the long run. And more...
@MEANDMYDAD20234 ай бұрын
So in other words you are confirming Rudy's gesture which questions the integrity of the game? 😮
@Ant-man-014 ай бұрын
@@MEANDMYDAD2023 Huh? The NBA sought out the same classification as the WWE, entertainment, not competitive sports, so they can't be held legally liable for rigging outcomes. I thought everyone knew that? College basketball is competitive basketball. And the best from that get to play a role in the NBA TV Show. That's just how it works.
@Ant-man-014 ай бұрын
@@MEANDMYDAD2023 The entertainment value in the NBA is excellent but it's not really a "game" in the sense of actual competition. It's about storylines, ratings, revenue, etc. They blatantly rig the outcomes. I mean, in this series with Denver and MN it's very clear that MN is the better team. Jokic is the best player but MN has the better team, by far. They're an all-time team on D, so that's easy to nullify with the ref style change that doesn't really allow for much D. So that's what they did after Denver went down 0-2. Because this is a star driven league. People want to see Jokic win another ring
@Ant-man-014 ай бұрын
@@MEANDMYDAD2023 As far as Rudy doing the $ sign thing, that's all just part of the show. I mean, everyone knows it. All the players know and they take part in it, too. Rudy himself plays a role in it all, so the money sign thing is just for entertainment
