The Los Angeles Lakers were on track to snap their 10-game losing streak against the Denver Nuggets. However, they blew a 20-point lead (a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter) and dropped to 0-2. Jamal Murray struggled throughout the game but hit the game-winning buzzer-beater shot to seal the Game 2 victory. Colin Cowherd reacts to the Nuggets 10th straight win over the purple and gold. The Philadelphia 76ers continue to struggle against the New York Knicks, giving up eight points in the final 28 seconds of the game. However, Joel Embiid remains confident, believing his team will 'win the series.' Colin breaks down Philly's ongoing struggles.

So nice to see MPJ coming into his own. I think it is important that mid year, he made some noise, not complaining, but saying the other role players can generate offense and the Nuggets changed to basically say "fair point" lets get you the ball. So great seeing him blossom into a 2 way player.

@@garebear77 LeFlop is the most overrated player in history. Those numbers don't mean that much. We live in different times when most superstar athletes play until they're at least 40. Cristiano Ronaldo has had a great career and is two months younger than LeFlop, Messi is getting up there too, and let's not talk about Tom Brady. LeFlop can go 45k, 14k and 14k and he still will be overrated. And the reason is, because he is at most a top 5 player, but the media is trying to push him to a de facto top 2 of all times only behind MJ.

@@FixxxerZ7 bro you have to be hallucinating. lebron went to 8 straight finals. in 2007 he carried a terrible team to the finals. in 2018 he had 7 40+ point games on another run to the finals with an injured kevin love as his second option. the only bad series he ever played in his life was the finals in 2011 against the mavs. and the only thing the kept him from 5 or 6 titles was apex KD and apex Steph being on the same team for two straight years that he went to the finals. there would be nobody in the history of the league that would have beat those teams on the team lebron was on. jordan’s 96 bills are a maybe and they had 3 top 75 all timers on that roster, and the 2000 lakers had shaq and kobe, and i don’t think they would have had a chance. who other than kareem and michael could you possibly make a case for over lebron? maybe russell? he played with 8 hall of famers in a decade with only one or two other awesome teams. calling lebron overrated is insane.

Rebounds are mostly effort but there is a skill to it. He brings up Rodman, who didn’t have much in the way of shot creation skills, but the great rebounders had a method. Rodman, Bill Russell, Jerry Lucas, et al didn’t just lunge toward the ball. They knew approximately which way it would bounce when it left the shooters’ hands. I suppose he means If you’re talented enough to make the nba you can be a great rebounder, but it is tedious work that won’t get you a max contract, so most players don’t care to practice it.

Nuggets manned up, banded together as brothers in a battle, dug deep into their competitive souls, and ripped the heart out of the Lakers. We know you Laker boys always make it about LeBron but this was all about the Nuggets saying, "not in our house" and knocking the Lakers out in the 12th round. Say it with me, "FAMILY".

you EVER bring up to a Laker fan "you only won in 2020 the NBA Title because of the bubble, not in real time NBA format," they just go off on you like you killed a close family member. The facts are the facts. the 1 team that benefited the most from a long stoppage in NBA playing before the bubble, was Lebron and his Lakers. What has happened with Lebron and his Lakers outside of his 2020 Title year?

Very simply,except for Jokić and MPJ if everyone else who missed until the 4th minute of the fourth quarter had hit half of the misses there would have been no drama at the end.Lakers can hardly recover mentally after this defeat leading by 20 points and losing by a basket is much worse than losing by 10 points or more

So much of what is said here is just wrong. KCP had 6 points to Rui’s 3 - but the loss is because only the Lakers have a starter who doesn’t produce? What are you missing with Embiid? Maybe that he had lost a whole bunch of mobility? Dennis Rodman wasn’t skilled? He studied films of shooters to know how their shots tended to come off the rim. It’s just not a skill that you recognize.

Agree with knicks take. Was a bulls fan in the drose years so i recognize all the thibs hallmarks. The lakers don’t have less talent than the nuggets. I can accept they have a team that better FITS jokic, than the lakers do in terms of fitting lebron. Bc that roster construction is perfect, and lebron NEEDS a closer bc he isn’t one. But jokic doesn’t have a top 10 teammate in Davis. Who besides Murray can drop 40 when jokic is out on the nuggets? Maybe mpj if he gets hot? Cause Davis, delo and reeves can and have. The nuggets r really playing 9 trust 7. So they have a slight edge on bench cause the lakers play 8-9 trust 6. But it’s not overwhelming. You also ignore the fact that jokic was made to work hard by Davis all game and didn’t run out of gas. That crazy 3 by mpj down the stretch was started by jokic sprinting out after a lebron layup and pushing the pace. His conditioning is incredible for a guy that size. Something he worked on cause it was bad when he was drafted. Lebron especially lollygags in the regular season. And if u want the Father Time excuse it’s tough on endurance. He has no chance competing in a marathon with the nuggets. Yes lebron and Davis get gassed but not bc they r carrying more. But just cause Murray and jokic are better conditioned and are true closers. And they force Davis and lebron to work hard all game. They can’t sustain it.
@williamhuebler68

LeBron James, Jr Smith moment. Mr basketball IQ (20 years in the league) Taking a 3 at the end of the game with 10 seconds left on shot clock. With the miss it gave Nuggets some 15 seconds to get a good look at the game winner. Do the math if he waits Nuggets only have 4 to 5 seconds to throw something up. Basketball 101 only allow the opposing team least amount of time to make the last shot of a game. No mainstream sports media networks mention this, priceless.

No, Colin. Murray and Jokic get theirs in the flow of their offense, where Lebron and AD have to press to get theirs. This is exemplified by Murray and Jokic scoring in familiar ways each game, not having to bomb away “haymakers” to hit their averages. When Jokic and Murray do hit haymakers, they score in the upper 30s and 40s, not lower 30s and upper 20s. Did you ever consider that Lebron doesn’t make his teammates better by as much as you think? Food for thought… to add to your fish fillet lunch. lol
