I think for the nuggets we just got killed by the new salary rules. We basically got forced to choose between MPJ/AG/KCP. And MPJ and Jamal were given max contracts and haven't played well. And due to the big 4 contracts we can't afford a well rounded roster. Which leads me to believe we're gonna have to figure out a way to move one of the guys for more good role level players
@Dr.Megladon
@Dr.Megladon Ай бұрын
And christian braun is playing better than KCP so far. Watson and Strawther will keep getting better. The only way to get depth is trade Zeke and picks for something. Or break up the MPJ contract into 2-3 players. The main reason we are in this salary cap crunch is Tim Connelly way overpaying porter. Could have re-signed him for 20 million per season. Not nearly 40. Tim Connellys flaw has been overpaying players. At the time Murray didn't earn his rookie max either. He played into it, though.

That's right it's CAVS COMMENTS CORNER 2024 time! Let's "do it again" (steely dan soft in the background) Whoops, we beat the Knicks, Lakers, and Bucks, too. Particularly loved the MKE game, we weathered two pissed off stars trying to break a streak. Perk is right (!), and Darius has been cooking. Effort on fast break defense, stripping and blocking mfers. Last year was an outlier what with his face being broken and having to rebuild his body over the course of the season. Said it before but I think he should play with a bubble helmet or motorcycle helmet from now on. Defense has never been the problem, but we seem extra oppressive this year on that end. I want a defense that you're just straight pissed to have to play against, every trip down. JA is so valuable We've already had a Micharis LeVordan sighting, which is nice. I expect every open DWade 3 to go in, and often it does. Gluest of guys imo. Mobley making shots he was missing last year, especially in the mid range. He might be unstoppable, I want him to be like Timmy in that way with the bank shots etc. Threes going in is huge. He is going at the damn hoop and it makes me happy

It’s hilarious that Channing who averaged less than 9 points a game for the career is making an argument that Jokers numbers matter less because it was against Raptors or Brooklyn. 😅

Listen , Murray is the Main REASON Joker got a RING!!! He played like Mj , Kobe or Bron to get them past LA. Had he played like a non Allstar, they would have LOSTED with Joker. So chill. Just like Richard said, they lost some good role players so the GM need to address that.

@KClouisville

The MAIN reason Jokic has a ring is Jokic. Dude averaged 27-14-11 in that Lakers series compared to 32-6-5 for Murray (and took less shots than Murray at a better shooting clip). He led the entire playoffs that title year in points, rebounds and assists. Murray is now on his SECOND max contract and basically has 2 great playoff runs to show for those...other than that he's either been out with injury or underperforming. I disagree with Perkins a lot...but he's totally correct here...in today's NBA averaging 20-21 pts a game and missing 20+ games a year is not max contract worthy. MPJ isn't earning his either....max money for a guy who 90% is a catch and shoot player. Those contracts are insane for what they're getting out of them.
@metalhead2536
@metalhead2536 Ай бұрын
The main reason Jokic has a ring (besides being a top 20 player himself) is jamal murray. The main reason Jokic doesn't have 3 rings is also Jamal murray (and MPJ). Crazy how that works. The most consistent guy in the league backed up by the least consistent guys in the league.

I only watched the Pelicans part, but I'm not feeling the analysis. They JUST got Dejaunte Murray, theyve been rated as this awesome team for ages, They have Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram, There was no Steph or Wiggs an they got destroyed. It would have looked much worse if the Dubs could hit a shot in the 1st quarter and dint just score 14. Zion alove had 8 turnovers. How could you analyze this without giving any credit to the Warriors being a really good and deep team?

The reality is Murray always starts slowly. Not quite this bad but every year Nuggets fans are asking at this time of year 'what's wrong with Jamal?' It's extremely frustrating but it's his pattern year after year after year. He starts slowly and then ramps up as the season goes on and then goes into high gear after the all star break. It's the main reason he's never been an all star. Why is that his pattern? Who knows? I will say this year is a bit different in that he seems to have lost some of his explosiveness to beat defenders off the dribble and get separation, and also some of the lift on his jumpers. He's only 27 so it's not an aging thing.

Jamal will not make the all star...west guards are too stacked. But the main question can he play like an all star whether he makes it or not is irrelevant. He needs to play like an allstar and that means scoring at least 25 pts a game.

channing likes to stick to his inner circle of nba friends' opinions hahah Zion williamson has not proven himself to be an all star yet are you f' kidding me? haha the whole discussion last year was him litterally being a donut on the court... or are you talking about this year. after like 4 gp'd where he's averaged ... less than jamal murray... if you wanna talk about pts Said ant edwards twice Harden an all star STILL? you're still sticking to that triple-step-back travelling weak-foul call salesman? SGA is lookin good but he's been overrated. theres not many players right now that are way ahead of others. PLEASE, feel free to shoot me a message if you wann talk about this stuff.
