That's a cute opinion you have there kiddo... he's an artist, he's not any "better than" Pat Martino, Chuck Loeb, Nick Colionne etc. etc. ... just because you like his style doesn't mean your opinion (or anyone else's) is right or wrong. He shreds-- sure, but there are artists out there that are just as epic as Pasquale. An artist never judges another artist as better or best. Many know there is always unknown some 17 year old out there who practices 10 hour days and shreds like no other too.

I have been around music for many years and have heard some of the greatest in history ... Pasquale Grasso is an extremely special case ... (So is Joe Cohn) .. But recently the esteemed pianist, Michael Weiss , stated that he never catargoriszes any musician as "The Greatest," but, Pasquale Grasso is the "Greatest" .....

As much as I would dream of being a professional musician and playing guitar or whatever all day ( and being good enough for others to listen too of course , ) I could never enjoy playing where everyone around is chatting and talking while the band plays, ( I can understand when everyone chats in an elevator to ignore the music but why go to see a band and talk and ( usually shout ) at each other while they play. It kills it for me. ( Great line up of musicians here though. )

It is "a slow boat to china" from Frank Loesser .Some correspondance with "The Nearness of You " in chords progression .Pasquale Grasso est très probablement un "génie" .Choruser avec seulement le soutien harmonique de la basse à un tel niveau et à son âge c'est inimaginable, inexplicable, impossible si on est pas un peu Django,Mozart,Wes ,Ravel,Parker e tutti quanti !!!!
