Everyone should have access to the marking schemes of every subjects taken at exams. It shouldn't just be for those who happen to be the wards of English teachers.

Identifying the learner's needs by the teacher when teaching English is an important process in Language acquisition .Many learners can speak but cannot write correctly basic simple sentences. It really shows that something is fundamentally wrong. Policies on language acquisition needs some review/reformation. Professor has spoken well. More of educational discussions like this.

I THINK THE MISTAKE WE ARE MAKING IS THE LACK OF USING OUR INDIGENOUS LANGUAGE TO LEARN ENGLISH. WE USED A LANGUAGE TO LEARN OTHER LANGUAGES!! LET US PUT MORE EFFORTS ON THE CORRECT USED OF OUR INDIGENOUS LANGUAGE e.g YORUBA LANGUAGE TO LEARN ENGLISH. THIS IS WHY OUR PARENTS ARE BETTER THAN US IN THE USED AND WRITING OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE.

The development of these varying accents has generated lots of complexities in the use of English (Reading, listening, speaking & writing). Everyone knows this. In another clear context, the mix of American and British English in determining stress in words happens to become cumbersome for learners. Just as the guest opined, i voluntarily expect the quality of English language to be improved when the basics of language acquisition is properly carried out by our educators, giving the element of the language its clarity and when possible, in disambiguated form - so as to help students get its basic formation and knowledge.
