@@phildelsol97 So just in case you were at all interested - I was at Oxford Brookes University in the UK in this period. We had the largest Student Union in the country then - 2000 people at Pleasuredome on a Friday and FUBAR on the Wednesday. Pleasuredome tickets used to sell out on the Monday so you'd get up at 7 and queue for them. Luckily I lived with people who worked on the sound and lighting booth so we just used to rock up and get in. Bottles of Reef for a quid so you used to buy 10 and put them in your fingers to last for a bit.7 hours of this sort of music every Friday. Some of the happiest days of my life mate.

2006 is when I stopped DJing until I started again in 2019 so this brought back great memories. I love the new technology but I often practice with only records, something about a non-rushed turntable only set that is just magic. Great song selection by the way!

I feel you, girl! Being 51 makes no sense when you think of yourself as 28. 😂 I think of us Gen Xers as the original misfits like in Breakfast Club. Someone told me that Gen X was the last generation of children to have true independence from our parents and able to go play all day and do whatever TF we wanted as long as we got home by dinner. That's why we like to be left TF alone with your sales calls and QR codes and scams we see a mile away. 😅 Truly the coolest generation. Our music is everything from punk rock, metal, ska, club house, drum, and bass to OG hip hop like The Beastie Boys and early Snoop Dogg. Some of us were Fishin in the dark with Garth Brooks and wondering whose bed your boots had been under with Shania. I digress. Great set man. If you don't have this, there was an incredible double CD called CreamLive 2000 recorded at the festival in great recording quality and has lots more of the best music of the time (not the overplayed stuff, just the greats)

@@skipper523 Oh God, same here. We went out with friends and had house parties and used the phone to keep in touch. It was right before social media took hold, and I was an early adopter with tech. I used ICQ as a messenger in 1998 and was online dating! I got into Friendster and MySpace, but Facebook changed everything, and it became easier to talk online than phone, and now , especially since we're older, it's tough to get together in person which sucks. I feel so privileged to live the life I did, I just miss going clubbing and dancing for six hours.. 👯‍♀️🕺💃
