Wow, Jameela is so different from Tahani personality wise. I thought for her first acting role ever they'd have written Tahani very close to her real life persona, but they clearly didn't, and she absolutely rose to the occasion to portray the character.

She said the same in an interview. Tahani is (or was in the 1st season) polar opposite to Jameela. And this being her first acting job she was struggling with it. But in later seasons she started to understand Tahani better and the result is later seasons Tahani is much more likable than the first

I did standup in Boston and LA and got into DJing a similar way. I told the owner of the business I do comedy and have played in bands. He said, good enough. You've got the Harvard homecoming party next week. Got $200 for 4 hours then they gave me $100 more to stay an extra hour. Did weddings, bar mitzvahs, showers, you name it. Good money just to play music.

Loco Logic Just a big DC Comics fan (the comics, not the movies, at least not since Nolan), Justice League Dark is a good title, it would make a great movie in the right hands and I’d love to see Zee on the big screen. Every time I see Jameela I think about Zatanna. She has that showgirl vibe. Plus Zatanna is half Italian half Turkish even though often portrayed as white so she would be great.
