I think the reason why guests liked to be on Conan’s show so much was because it was so low pressure. Conan always disarmed the guests and self deprecated himself to make them feel relaxed. If a guest said something silly like poker in the Olympics Conan would always yes and the premise and make it into a funny win for everyone.

@Robe_ I noticed Jay Leno doing it too. Just making a fool of themselves to make the guests comfortable. For being used to closed-off sets and stages when doing movies or TV shows etc. But you can see Jennifer was quite comfortable. Conan was also already back then good friends with Lisa Kudrow. Being a former couple. So, that was an additional factor too.
