Not quite as surprising as you may think ~ Paul M & Ian H are clearly ageing and not as quick-fire witted as they used to be, so perhaps the show's producers were looking ahead to new team-captains in the future. Also, the show is basically satirical, so it easily fits with James's style. Just my opinion though.

She's a comedian, writer, actress, singer and active since the 1980s. Her show was the platform on which the Simpsons started. She won baftas, golden globes and an emmy.

I'm going to say that Jack Dee is awesome and actually has a straight faced approach to comedy similar to James. But I think he was trying a bit too much and concentrating to push the show adjenda along to play along with James :( 16:00 really shows how much Paul has been asleep at the wheel for years, I suppose if you stagnate and stick on the same show until you're old that'll happen. Kind of sad but he needs to retire. Play the 2nd half at 1.25 speed, thank me later.
