@SCHTRAM by all counts the "being a dick" is just a persona. The rumor is, behind the scenes, he's actually really nice and thoughtful. Though by his own admission, in his "Classic Scrapes" book, he has done a lot of things without thinking first. He also admits he takes heckling too personally and has not always reacted very well to it in the past. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@SCHTRAMHe suffers from depression and anxiety and in one of his books talks about the years following a really bad break up. I also imagine he's a fairly introverted person. Many comedians are actually this way and can be very shy, and a lot of.people assume they are louder than life and constantly want to make people laugh. When really they just want to remember what they need from the shop and get through the day like.most of us!!

I'm 5 minutes in and he hasn't said anything even remotely funny yet. He most certainly is an eigma though, as in, it's very difficult to figure out how someone becomes a comedian if they're dull and unamusing 🤔 It's almost as if the current crop of British comedians have accepted the challenge of pushing someone as a comedian who clearly isn't funny. 'If we all just keep saying he's funny then _some_ people will believe it' 🤷♂
