Love it when James is "on" during interviews and it throws the interviewers off; guess they expected him not to use his comedy persona on BBC Breakfast...guess again!

I got recommended an article about how painfully awkward this interview was and people hating on James but Jesus christ those interviewers were useless, giving James nothing to work with even though the whole book is clearly a joke

How people don't realise this is all in jest and just James' humor I don't know! He's hilarious and he makes some very good points. I reckon anyone who got offended by this might have had their egos bruised as they are the people that do the things he is joking about! 🤣🤣

Anyone who was outraged by this clearly doesn’t like James’ humour/haven’t seen his material before

Like the two people interviewing him. They weren't outraged but they really didn't seem to get James or the what he said.

My son was telling me today about James coming to his school for a workshop sort of thing for the older students ( we live in his home town) I like Jim he gives back to this community. My son thought he was pretty ace too

Comedian makes joke about how weird it would be if we did things in real life that we do online, the world loses it's mind. I feel like it must just be people still upset about his Ricky Gervais joke looking for excuses to be mad.

Remember what Voltaire said-- if you want to know who really runs the world ask yourself who you're not allowed to criticize. People flipping out about leaving social media proves just how much they are scared of not being able to control people through it anymore

I knew when I read a headline "viewers disgusted by comedian".... I'd fucking love it! Some people are just pathetic gimps who get offended by anything and everyone, also lacking enough intelligence to pick up on the tone and style of comedian they are witnessing!

That newsreader saying he doesn't think he can live without social media, ffs, what age is he? 5? And these are the types of people bringing us the news 🤣 Edit - probably seems ridiculous to me as I don't have any social media 🤭 'Did you go cold turkey?' This newsreader has got SERIOUS addiction problems with social media if he thinks it's that hard to chuck he's comparing it to hard drugs, ffs, he's old enough to have grown up without this shit, why is everyone SO dependent on having their views heard? Or just validating others ideas? Go live your own life, get out of the house dammit, and meet and interact with REAL people! 😂

Some people didnt like that he joked about celebrity deaths, others didnt think he was funny. In my opinion its silly for the show to have tried to make this a serious interview about quitting social media when its not a serious book. It made the whole dynamic weird.

lol the problem with this was that the interviewers kept trying to seriously ask him about what he does and how he went about quitting, and never got that it’s all not serious - even when he broke character to tell them so lmao. how can you interview a comedian and take everything seriously?

I just read the article after seeing these comments. People are really stupid. It's obviously a fictional book, and James is partly playing the character in these interviews. Shocking that people can't figure that out when it's so obvious.
