Listening to him speak normally is so strange... what a humble man
@Zedaphor6 жыл бұрын
Honestly one of the best stand-up show I've ever seen, incredible how the full 4 hours are independently funny but also interwoven and connected. Genius creation by James Acaster, hope him and other comedians create more like this.

Lot of work though. Most comedians would rather have 1 solid 2 hour show. I think this idea was unique and clever - much like Acaster himself.

Christ he's humble. As an American fan of British panel shows, and subsequently British comedians, I'm so glad to see his success grow here - and I hope he's properly delighted with himself. He deserves all the recognition he's getting as of late, and more.

if you want to hear more of him, without his persona, then watch his scrapes. there's a channel dedicated to them: kzbin.info/door/Rga7ZmyStFHozmkLtul5Nwvideos.

caron thanks for the link. I've actually been listening to a few of those from Josh W's show. But this is more the fact that I'm actually watching (not just listening to) him be normal here!

James Acaster is a top comedian as far as I'm concerned. He has a terrific on stage persona, new ways of segueing into new topics and just seems very likeable. He's truly great in his profession and I wish him great success.

I have a boyfriend who is a huge Polish bloke with tattoos from head to toes, bald head and constantly looks like he's peed off. He's a good man though lol, just to be clear, he might look like a hoodlum (🤣) but he's just a hard core punk. My point is, my taste in men is completely the opposite of Acaster and yet he is up there with Tom Hardy for sexiest celebs alive imho. He's cute, intelligent, articulate, compassionate, respectful, humble and obviously hilarious. An absolute hunk! 😍 (no disrespect to his girlfriend or my boyfriend haha ❤🤣❤)

I've just finished watching the first two episodes of this. The first episode was great. Had shades of comedians I really like. Then I watch episode 2... I'd be very surprised if Stewart Lee doesn't have something to say about it. Taking inspiration is one thing but ripping off another comedians style so blatantly just fucking bollocks. Interesting to see who he does on episode 3.
@katy39015 жыл бұрын
Did you really think that? I mean I see a few small similarities but I don't think there's any cause to say that there's been any copying. Important to note that James has been doing stand up for over 15 years now. Also, the Netflix shows, although being filmed in 2017, are older Edinburgh fringe shows of his and were therefore written and initially performed a good few years ago.
@theholygoat88264 жыл бұрын
Er , no . I really like Stuart Lee , have done since the 90s and there's no Similarity or crossover apart from the laughs , so you might have a point .
