I don't remember how I stumbled onto the James Altucher podcast a couple years ago, but from there I listened to "Choose Yourself" and it 100% planted the seeds for trying to build something for myself. It took a couple years of trying different things and chasing passions, but all the while I surrounded myself with as many positive, business minded audiobooks and podcasts as I could find, including yours, Lewis. I ended up starting a KZbin channel about mountain biking the best trails in the world and it has been a spectacular ride. Love hearing both of you get together!

I am in SO much love with Jame Altucher. I gobble up every podcast he's hosted or been on. Every single book - read. I even have his phone number. Ok, everyone does but... gah. I just love him and his brain and he's so funny too! I started carrying around a tiny notebook to log my "interesting questions" as they popped up thru the day. Thank you for having him. I damn near dropped my iPhone when I saw his divine smile fill my screen while wearing the 'Lewis' headphones. Perfect way to bang out 2016. Cheers!

There's so much wisdom from this interview, that it's become one of my favorites from your entire year, Lewis! Specifically, here's a few things I learned from James: *Don't take life so seriously, this experience can end at any moment. I love how he's not tied down to locations, pricey rents, mortgages, etc. *Those closest to us will likely default to negative with our dreams and aspirations. That is EXACTLY the feedback mechanism to tell us we're creating something awesome. *Focus on your zone of genius. James does 3-4 main activities that allow him to focus on his real zone of genius, including writing. Now, I get not everyone can do this from the start, but in the virtual, freelance world -- outsourcing the stuff you're not great at is key. *Flex your idea muscle. I love his advice on learning, which is exactly what I am doing in this post. Furthermore, I would take it a step further: TEACH OTHERS! Even if you don't have a platform, grab someone and codify the content you've learned and how it applies to your life. *Building a valuable business always has the same key components. I love how he broke down the FREE, CHEAP, EXPENSIVE deal. Build immense trust by amazing, free content (like your podcast, Lewis). Then add in some cheap products for those who want more (maybe your webinar course, which I have, although that is likely considered mid level). Then add in EXPENSIVE for the raving fans (maybe your mastermind.) Thank you for putting this out into the world, Lewis. I have a vision of having you on my podcast in 2017 and I know it will come to fruition!

I've watched most of your interviews and they're all great but this was one of my favourites. James' listening and engagement skills are superb - when he recounted your own situation back to you for example and turned it into end: fog: beginning; shows the hallmark of someone who is really interested in other people. Definite standout among a host of excellent interviews 😀👍

I saw a very common theme with this podcast; being in "action mode", and that started to open more and various opportunities that you had interests in. You kept you eye on the end game / goal, but doing other activities to help get yourself there. I also am currently working on being a consultant for financial and budget analytics. My end game is very BIG and I see how being in "action mode" in various other activities helps to gain traction and momentum to get going towards the end game. I would really appreciate your feedback to help incorporate into my "action mode". thank you! please keep up the great work!

I was playing this while I did other stuff. But, even with intro chit chat, in the first 3 minutes and 20 seconds, there were 2 ideas I *had to write down.* I did. On a scrap of paper. NOT sufficient. So... Still gotta do the thing. So I'm gonna leave the tab open, come back, start a doc, even finally set up a "these docs are important to me now & future" folder on my desktop (so they don't just 'get filed' & never seen again), take AND USE the notes. So yeah. Thanks MUCH. Plussed.

The plus minus equal is ancient. I call it the side kick principles. You have the superhero, "teacher", and sidekick. Buffett had Mungor, Jobs had Steve Wozniak, Moses had Arron, Elijha had Elisha, the list goes on we all need help, and need to help others.

32:22 Lewis asks if James has been able to keep happy. A situation most have in common social environments is that our Bio-Energetic field is affected by "New Age Technology", from Cell Phone Towers to the Computer Routers there is many things that have direct affect on the mind. The brain can be looked at as a Radio, we can relate closer to a Leaf than a Laptop but what do most people spend more time around? Well, i guess the people reading this.
