I'm a prog rock guitarist so it's not like I'm closed-minded, that in itself is a typical close minded quote, to finish with Maybe it's the purple robe, wow very open mind approach, I think Stravinsky would have step on your feet an that was if you were lucky

In the house on the left side of the street, a string quartet plays classical music. In the house on the right, a guy just unpacked his first guitar that he had bought. It's hot and the windows are open ... I'm standing in the street. And I pray my bus arrives quickly!

Man, Can't you just not like it and leave it at that. It really is that simple. Don't like it and move on.

Well, if your definition of "good" is purposely playing all of the wrong notes, than I guess it's good. I'm a prog rock guitarist so it's not like I'm closed-minded. When Stravinsky composed dissonant melodies they still made sense. This stuff sounds like they all just downed 10 shots of Jack a piece and decided to jam. Maybe it's the purple robe - THAT'S where I screwed up.........................

Hopefully five years of listening to some actual prog a la Larks Tongue era King Crimson and practicing and breaking rules on your guitar would have led you to the realization that your observation here is pretty silly.

And you call yourself a prog rock guitarist.

@@halaman9500 Screw you. I'm into Yes (including their weirdest songs like "The Ancient"), King Crimson, Tull, ELP,, Gentle Giant, Genesis, Todd Rundgren, Rush, Zappa, Mahavishnu Orchestra, as well as Stravinsky, Prokofiev, Bach, be bop, Swing, Dixieland, Medieval music, Gregorian chants and world music. I like what I like and my opinion is just as valid as yours.

@@malcolmwood5843 No, you're just a pompous ass. See my recent post above.

@@babarishka just say you don’t like it, you don’t have to justify it by saying I’m a prog guitarist this and that. Meanwhile the rest of us will be here loving James Blood Ulmer’s incredible music and guitar playing.
