This guy can sing, no doubt, but the original by James Blunt is a must see/hear. Not only was it meant as a goodbye to his father, he actually sung it TO him so if you watch it make sure you watch the video too. Its incredibly touching and heartfelt.

A Stirling effort, I’ll always gravitate to James Blunt’s version though. The fact that his father was in the video with him is genuinely touching. My own father died 20 years ago and this song, along with Dance With My Father by Luther Vandross never fails to reduce me to tears because they both capture the beauty of a father and son relationship and the desire my father inspired in me to reflect his fatherly love on my own children and to be as good a dad to them as he was to me. Of course I succeeded and, if anything I was even better than him but I never boast about it. 😊
